    Another "states" contest...

When will the United Continents of the World take Place?

What we need is an alien invasion to rally everyone together...

Did you read the blog? :) We're only able to ship these prizes within the continental US, but those outside of it can enter and have a chance to win a comparable digital prize.

    Cheers,

While that might rally the world's militaries into cooperation, I doubht they would take the time to change/unify trade laws.:D;)

I think the Prize Is Awesome. Would be a great gift for my grandson who is liking SiFy cause of me and really likes all of Star Trek that he has seen to date.

Those out of the USA need to read the rules again. It does not totally leave you out as some other contest that take place out of the USA and leave us out all together or certain states in the USA are not eligible.

Was more of a "poking fun" reply.

And I'll admit I missed the part about the digital comparable prize

"Please write a comment." I just submited one.. if I submit again it's saying I'm doing it too fast, yet there's no comment of mine there whatsoever. Nice tactic.

there are certain laws that make international contests difficult, not to mention the cost of shipping internationally.

I wont get phased by this compo.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

What are the digital prizes?? Didn't see any mentioned.

Also a bummer for those of us outside the US, as I would not mind one those pointers at all, but the digital prize is a consolation, and atleast something we are able to "win" for once, so good job on the digital prizes.

Those digital prizes should be used in the future Cryptic, when you're not able to send internationally.

Not working for me either. Tried last night on 2 different browsers and again this morning, also getting the "Please write a comment" and "Too fast".
Star Trek Offline is currently online. We apologise for the convenience and are working to remedy the situation.

Just wanted to say - it's a great alternative. International shipping issues are understandable, as there are many problematic factors involved at times, not only with the shipping price. Offering a digital prize instead is a nice gesture. Sure, non-US residents won't get their toy, but they shouldn't feel left out.

Glad to hear :) I plan on trying to do this as often as possible when we're not able to ship outside of the US.

See now all I need now is a mini tricorder and a mini holster for my mini phaser once I win one!!! Unfortunitly I wouldnt be able to keep it and this is why...... Its looks like it can be one of Santa's Elf's phasers if one of Santa's Elf's came from the 23rd centry. The only reason the Elf needs that phaser is because the small size is perfect for an Elf and also to protect the North Pole from the borg. The borg has a futile hatred for Christmas and all the borg wants to do is assimilate all of Santa's reindeer, his slay, North Pole's superior technology and Santa himself!!!! The borg assimilated one of Santa's other Elfs a few years ago and now they know that Santa has a rare form of transwarp technology that gives him the ability to deliver presents to every federation planet and the houses with in the planets!! Also if they were to assimilate the Elfs then they can build borg battleships faster then they have ever done before!!! Now if that happened and the borg took over the north pole then Christmas would be gone forever, shortly afterwards HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!!! So I know now winning a mini phaser laser pointer is quite a small chance, but if I do get one then I have a responsibility to provide FizzleThorpe the Christmas Elf a means to save Christmas and Earth....................... In fact, I think I am going to keep it, it would be that awesome to have!!!!

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY LITTLE STORY, IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER AMUSING STAR TREK STORY IDEAS ABOUT A LASER POINTER PHASER THEN FEEL FREE TO SHARE!!! i WOULD LOVE TO READ THEM!!!

from:odin86baker (STO user name) feel free to message or friend request!!)

What's so hard with shipping something internationally? It simply sounds like "We don't want to go through that extra bit of work for those foreigners" to me...

It's that US based shipping and postal services fleece their customers to the point where shipping that keychain to Europe costs more than the keychain itself. As opposed to Asian based shipping and postal services which go right on the other end of the ridiculous scale, sending virtually anything anywhere for 99 cents. (At least, that's my E-bay experience as a European.)

Anyhow, on the "contest": Check out the store link. There's virtually nothing in there, telling me this "pinnacle of quality in screen accurate uniforms and prop replicas" probably didn't even exist a month ago, and this contest is most likely just an e-mail address collection drive. Know that. It's fine if you want to hear about new stuff, but if not, these guys are still going to spam you like crazy.

I believe you may have been looking at only the sale link, as they've existed for a lot longer than that, and have some epic uniforms :) Check out this link: http://www.anovos.com/

I've tried to leave a post a few times but I keep getting an error every time in red like:

    Please write a comment.

Even though I had written a comment in the box I hit the button again and I get the following:

Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you?ve already said that!

Even though I never went through.

Please log out, and log in from another browser, and try again after a few minutes of it sitting on the page. It may be triggering an anti-spam measure because it thinks there may have not been enough time for you to have read the article before commenting, or something similar. Hope this helps!

Sorry you're running into the issue -- I'm not able to reproduce it, unfortunately. Do you have a mobile browser you can try from? Short of that, I'd recommend filing a tech support ticket here: https://support.perfectworld.com/app/home
