I'm not the sort who tends to complain about graphics changes, but when it occurs with no warning, to an appearance I've been wearing for nearly four years, well, I don't think it's unreasonable to squawk a bit.
I'm referring to my favorite pair of Fed uniform pants, "Panels and Pockets." I really, truly liked them best in the game. No joke, I've used them on my main and her entire bridge crew going back to beta. Imagine my shock to log in after the patch and find their design significantly (to my eye, at least) changed, and with no warning.
If you can't change them back, could you restore the old design as a separate option?
Yes, the new textures do look better in an
objective sense - there's more detail. But I liked the blockier color design on the old version much more. The shape of the panels on the thighs has become less a block of decorative color and more an overt pocket. The seams on the front and back are far more obvious now, even when the pants' colors are set to black.
Additionally, colors of the pants no longer match the colors of the tops. My pants were set to the same colors as my Sierra-1 shirt, and *used* to appear to be the same uniform color. Now the pants are a noticeably lighter shade, and even seem a bit "shinier." Worse, two of the colors on the pants no longer match up - the "outside" of the legs are darker than the "inside" when set to the same shade.
And finally, it appears that in addition to the simple aesthetic changes, the updated pants are
also bugged in the tailor. Only one color can be altered - that of the inner pants legs.

It's one thing when free uniforms are bugged for long periods of time, but more than six months to fix something which people paid for with real money is just [REDACTED]
