Playing Much Foundry?

With the editor down and republish crawling along, I am actually finding this to be a good time to play foundry missions. The list is still incomplete so you have a better chance of finding hidden gems. The only buggy mission I found so far was one of the purity ones.

I haven't been. Mainly because I want to be able to rate and leave reviews. Honestly if I don't review it on the spot I'm likely to forget to go back and leave one later. Also been distracted by Dyson Sphere stuff, Double XP weekend in SWTOR and their new starfighter combat (which is a lot of fun BTW).

I'm playing it when I have a chance, but honestly with the editor down I've been spending more time doing stuff IRL. (It's finals week.)

I just hope they give us editing back soon.

i played a few,But more than anything i have been searching the lists of avalible missions and have queued up at least 5 To play later when i have more time

Would love to have played more but had to do work :( , but it does seem a good time to play the missions to me, Though the lack of Reviewing is a bit of a shame, as i love to give people feedback at the end

I have been queing up more too. It is interesting doing searches before the full list is published.

I try to do at least one from the Foundry every time I'm logged in - because that's where all the interesting content is. Adventure zones are neat if you like smashing yourself in the face with a brick.

Problem is, I've been a Foundry fan for so long that it's getting harder and harder to find good missions. Played quite a few of them and the list is filling up with those thrice-damned grinder missions, which push all the actual content further out of sight.

Honestly I haven't played the foundry even once since the investigate daily officer reports reward nerf. With no good rewards now it's just not worth the time or effort to use the foundry anymore.

They nerfed legitimate foundry mission rewards. They nerfed farming, and lowered the loot cap. Other than the niche group that enjoys others writing random Star Trek stories and missions, theres absolutely no reason to bother with the foundry, ever.

The foundry could pretty much be removed at this point without a huge fuss from the population. The majority of "missions" are just trial and error TRIBBLE from people who will most likely never make another one. Next largest group is people making farming missions, which are now useless. The only people that would actually care that it was gone, would be the people making actual stories, and the small group of people who take the time to play and read them.

Lets be honest here. Pvp in Sto sucks. Its still better than the foundry.

TBH, I've been waiting for them to turn editing back on. Even though reviews are disabled, I didn't think it would be fair to play until people had a chance to make sure their missions aren't bugged.

There'd be a fuss from me for one, Daeyna. I'm not playing a whole lot just now, but when I do it's nearly always the Foundry for me. Better stories, better rewards (I rarely do STFs so for me 1200 dilithium is big money), less pow pow, more fun!

I don't have the problem with finding good missions, at all, because I don't use the search function to find them. My trick is this: I keep a text file on my computer, and every time I see a Foundry mission mentioned on the forum that sounds as if it might be good, I note the title and author in the text file. It works for me - currently I've far more missions in there than I've time to play! (Will post list if anyone likes. May not be to everyone's taste because I favour low-combat missions, but as far as I know, all of them have proper stories.)
