graviton torpedo

first off I do enjoy using this torpedo. but my question is trying to use it in with HY can be deadly if you are to close. or it seems to be ignoring my shields. when I use it in lets say the breach and I am to close within 3km trying to not get them killed by the FAW when I get hit by the dmg it is always a crit and does massive dmg a least 10k even if I am full shields and health. any suggestions on what armor to use i am currently using fleet armor.

my second question is what is the difference between the device lvls. I only see heavy graviton device 3 but I see others firing heavy graviton device 1

The Graviton Torpedo detonates a 1km explosion to anything in the radius. You need to ensure your ship remains outside of that radius. If you are in Breach, you are probably getting hit by the Voth shield bypassing torpedo turrets. For that, I'd suggest a liberal amount of hull heals (Auxiliary to Structural Integrity Field and Hazard Emitters) as well as Fleet Neutronium Consoles. Also, the device "number" is based on the torpedo skill level. Torpedo High Yield I will launch a level 1 Graviton Torpedo, Torpedo High Yield II will launch a level 2 Graviton Torpedo, and Torpedo High Yield III will launch a level 3 Graviton Torpedo. Naturally level 3 is the most powerful.

Yeah, the Voth Trans Chron Turrets are pretty evil if you happen to draw the ire of all of them...

Yes...I have since altered my plan of attack to being fly in, use AMS and let them shoot the BS cruiser...I mean Bulwark cruiser.

That or I only shoot half of them at a time, getting a 34k crit on my scimitar wasn't fun, not when it's made out of hippie love, good wishes and recyclable paper.

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.

Does the different levels or HY give a different chance of making a rupture? As in HY3 has a better chance than HY1?

HY3 says that when it hits it creates the gravi rift
so, HY3 100% of the time it hits will create the rift

and when its crits, ummm yea . . . had one crit for 87k of dmg
