Fleet MVAE Build help

Hi
I bought (more like grinded) the MVAE from the c-store during the sale but I can't quite decide what equipment to go with so here's what I've been considering. (I should mention I'm building for PvP as there's no point in building PvE as it's so easy :P)
Weapons:
Disruptors, Nanite perhaps?
Romulan Plasma
Antiproton

Equipment:
Full Dyson set
Borg Set
Omega
Aegis set

I have 3 Rom Embassy boffs (obviously great for AP) but I already have AP on my Tac Oddy (which is a beast :D) and I was thinking with Rom Plasma I get the disruptor proc and can use 2 Piece Rom bonus for extra dam and Embassy Sci consoles (shield regen) to effectively add a 6th Tac console while increasing shield regen however using 2 piece rom would mean either using hyper torp (not really good for PvP) or Exp Rom beam which might reduce damage i would imagine in a cannon-turret build. I had pretty much decided on Rom Plasma but then I remembered about the extra Plasma resistance on most shields.

I was thinking full Dyson because the shielding sounds awesome with the 4 piece bonus and the shields ability and am I correct in thinking Regenerative's better on an escort? Even if not I've never really used regenerative so would like to try it. however with the dyson set I lose quite a lot from what i normally use:
M.A.C.O. Deflector (always use this it's my fave)
Elite Fleet Warp Core
Adapted Maco shields and engines
on the deflector I lose shield cap and EPS
on the engine I lose 1.3 power in shields engines and aux and some turn rate although gain some speed
on the warp core I lose AMP and aux power (which I also lose from not having tactical readiness)
The only thing that doesn't seem to lose anything really is the shield

Borg looks cool and gives extra power and the set procs might be good

Omega deflector loses survivability but adds more PvPy stuff definetely wouldn't use engines though and the shield has the highest cap on a regen and the 2 piece bonus alsoo adds shield drain.

I have never used the Aegis (and don't think I will) but recently I have become curious about the 3 piece bonus (and the extra defense of 2 piece). the set bonuses seem great but the equipment itself doesn't especially the shield.

Not sure about Boff abilities except that I'll use gravity well, 2 tac teams, APO3 and probably 2 EPtS although might not need it with Dyson and I'm not sure what torp I'll use
just of the top of my head here's the boff abilities
TT1,CRF1,APB2,APO3
TT1,CRF1
THY1

EPtS1,EPtS2
TSS1,HE2,GW1

doff suggestions would be appreciated also (I'll be buying the 6th space slot when i can)
I think that's all, thanks for any responses and for reading.

I bought one myself during the Sale, though I need to sit down and really work out my BOFF layout again

    As for everything else:

I'm more fond of Phaser than what you have listed, but out of curiosity, I went with Protonic Polaron. It's decent, but no Phaser. Antiproton might be your best bet, though.

As for equipment, I'm fond of the Borg set. I have the very basic Mk X set up on mine and, with the right timing, it's quite the survivor.

Only difference really for PvP is i swap around some boffs to give me two copies of APO. otherwise its basically the same ship

I've been using a similar build, but i've been noticing that in Elite CE breach or hive, that my shields are being bypassed way too easily. Ins some cases, i'll be either healing my shields or at full, and my hull is still hit for almost half it's health. I've never used TSS on my tac, so i'm not really sure of the benefit here or in PvP, unless they teammates are doing the same for me, but is there a way to defend against the bleed through?

I finally got round to looking at the Elite Fleet shields and I think I'm going to go with Regenerative [ResB] unless I go with Rom Plasma in which case I might go resillient as I'll have a lot of extra regen from the embassy consoles. I'm not high enough on dyson rep just now anyway so I'll probably just try that when I can, I also foolishly bought S>W fleet warp core a while ago which I almost immediately regretted not getting W>S, only reason I went S>W is cos I always hav 130 Shield power (always have EPtS2 active) and thought it would fluctuate less but I digress. I'll probably try out the borg deflector and engines but I only currently have the Mk XIs and not sure how good they'll be.
So in summary I'm currently going to use Elite Fleet Regenerative Shields [ResB] and either MACO deflector with Adapted MACO engines or both Adapted for tactical readiness.

The real problem I have is deciding between Antiproton and Romulan Plasma. I would definitely go Rom Plasma as I'm pretty sure the procs will outweigh the +20% CrtD especially with all the extra damage bonuses I can add and then add in that I'd like to try something different but the things that are stopping me are the extra plasma resist most people have (which I can prob overcome with the Dam bonuses) and using either the Hyper-Plasma or Experimental Plasma beam. I love the Hyper-Plasma with 3 Torp doffs but they're too slow for PvP and I'd prob have to use Experimental Romulan/Reman defector and Engines to make it PvP worthy, Does anyone know how much of a difference the 2-piece bonus actually makes to torps?

I'm not really a fan of phaser or Polaron (although I think I'll try some kind of Polaron hybrid on my Sci)

And Wraithshadow I'm not sure what shields you're using but only things I can think of to help are resillient shields, Field Generators and perhaps higher hull resistances.

Ok so I have decided on Romulan Plasma. In PvP I'll use 3 Rom embassy consoles without the 2-piece set bonus and for PvE I'll use the 2-Piece.
Here's the math that led me to using Rom Plasma; So in PvP the 3 consoles will add 28.2% extra damage and if you deduct the 20% Plasma resistance on MACO, Omega and adapted maco shields and the decrease in CrtD from not using Antiproton (20/100*12.4=2.48 (12.4 is my current CrtH)) which means a loss of 22.48% damage in PvP compared to Antiproton which still leaves an increase of 5.72% damage not including the procs on Romulan Plasma if they're using one of the aforementioned shields if not the increase will be 25.72% and in PvE the increase will be 33.32%!
I'll need around 180,000 dilithium to buy everything I need which might seem like a lot for an extra 5.72% damage but the Romulan Embassy consoles also add shield regen which is something I'd really like to try out.
I'm going to do some tests with +shield regen consoles in PvP to see what type of fleet shield to go for (Regenerative,Resilient or Covariant) as I won't be able to run a field generator.
I'm also going to see how hard it is to take shields down in PvP to decide whether to use a torp or 4th DHC or maybe transphasic torps.
Finally I still need to decide whether to use MACO deflector+Adapted Maco impulse, Adapted Maco 2-piece or Fleet deflector+impulse and between DHCs or DCs.

    Here's a preliminary build:

I'll post again when I'm finished and let you know how it goes :)
