Hey guys, which space set is best for a kingon tac in a temp destroyer or fleet qin or somraw for pvp?
I was thinking of borg deflector, borg engine and elite fleet shields??.....im running fleet distruptor dhc, dbb and turrets.
Any help would be great.

New home of the Romulan Republic.
I have an idea for what Season 11 should be; Season 11: The Big Bug Fix.
I have not been able to read my bug tickets in over a year, not even the tickets about not being able to see my tickets.
I find the drama of your signature proof of your immaturity, this means you, DR whiners.
Nukara set sucks, Rom set = Reman set = suck, Dyson set suck ...
and all these new weapon + weapon + console sets suck too.
Also: why FED and KDF don't develope a their own set ?
The only set they developed are the KHG, MACO and Omega ones ... all the other sets have been stolen to the other races, just like the borg ...

Nukara set sucks, and Dyson set suck. Why do you think that?
Adapted MACO is my current fave, swapping out the shields for Elite Fleet versions.
AEGIS is my goto set early on, more for the looks than the ability. Relegated to shuttles.
Borg sets are awesome, and I still use an XI set (old version) on a sci because it works well - especially the regeneration ability.
OMEGA still has a nasty bite for escorts, although I've archived this.
The Reman and Romulan sets are interesting. I ran an Oddy plasma tank with the full reman set. The look was unique and the stacking capacitance made for very nice shields.
MACO is a bit 'winded' especially since it doesn't play nice with the leech console. Archived for later disposal.
KDF set is the best bet for Klingons (only tested this set and AEGIS on my klink dill scrounger)
The tholian set I have never tried, simply because after 200+ million ec investments in various Tetryon builds, Tetryon sucks. I will say having seen the set on a Galaxy-X, it looks kinda cool.
Lastly: Voth. I won't try it. Nothing about the stats makes me say 'Gotta have', and the effort required (after leveling 2 toons, and then sponsoring the remaining 5 toons) leaves me unwilling to commit.
Give me a 4 piece set I can earn, and then maybe....

I agree with you wholeheartedly.
The words "I'm working towards the Reman set to boost my torpedoes." should not que mass laughter. The fact that I even use torpedoes means I am already looked down upon.
The KHG set will be acquired eventually, but after the Reman set. The Adapted KHG is nice, but I ran it on my old Fed main, so I'm not overly excited about grinding it out.
The Omega, Tholian and Dyson sets just don't seem helpful for builds I run. If I ran a build that these sets could buff, then I might look into them the same way I'm looking into the Reman set.
The Dyson Set and Protonic Aresonal Set are both good sets, but not for everyone.
The Dyson Set's primary perpose is tanking, with the Hyper Reactive Shield heal, 10% Energy resistance to shields, 20% to antiproton shield resistance, 26.3 to the Structural Intergity skill, capacitor to shields, extra power to shields (7.5 of weapons power to shield power, 7.5 power to shields, 2.5 shield power from the impulse engines), 2 abilities that grant large universal resistance to shields, speed boosts (faster speeds = more defence), and a large bonus to resistanting shield and energy draining. Heck the bonus skill points in eps benifits your epts powers and the deflector gives a bonus to shield emitters.
Protonic Barrage fits in more with Protonic Aresonal then the Dyson set, but getting both actually dovetails well.
So these sets aren't bad, they just really specialized,
One thing I don't understand about Proton Barrage is that it lists 100% remove buff, 50% remove buff, 25% remove debuff. Does it mean it remove up to three buffs on a target, with each one after the first being less likely, or is it that it can only debuff three targets caught in the cone.

You really can't go wrong with this combo. It might not be the absolute best at anything, but it works with just about any ship.
KDF Tac: Bortasqu' Tactical
Fed Tac: Fleet Gal-X
Keep those big guns a-thunderin'
Fleet Admiral Space Orphidian Possiblities Wizard
If you want to kill shields quickly, then go for Omega 2 part set.
If you want more survivability, go for Borg 2 or 3 part set (2 part + elite shields is the best choice).

The Omega Reputation ones are the only good ones.

Agree completely. Borg deflector and engine + elite fleet shield is my go-to combo almost every time.
