Never been big with beams on the vesta, I use the aux cannons just to keep my aux power high. This allows more damage with the cannons and the abilities like gravity well and tractor beam. I have tried it, but always went back to the aux cannons. I do lose the target sub system ability, but I hardly ever use them.

    Build pls?

I would like to see what you run maybe give that a shot myself. As i have phaser stuff anyway

This is the current build I fly with on my Vesta

    http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=vestaenergydrain13_0

I wanted a more Science-y approach with my ship (I'm already flying an escort) so it's purely an energy drain build. The nice thing about the AuxDHCs is that I can run full Aux to help out the drains and because its phaser I can also use phaser tactical console which also helps out the phaser beam that comes with the Vesta pack.

    Works wonders in eSTFs.

That is certainly some mighty drain. How is the survivability on that bad boy? And how do you keep on target?

I ran with Leech and Neutronium/RCS console in place of Vesta console pack and honestly didn't see much of a difference considering I'm using ES to buff power and the only extra buy you get out of it is for the Turrets. You can def swap out the Vesta consoles for it however if you don't want the extra "tankiness".

You can get pretty tanky in the Vesta with the rep system passives and skill points allocated towards hull repair and hull hitpoints. The MK XII Borg set is pretty epic on the Vesta if you throw that ontop of everything else.

Personally, I collected so many accolades that give damage resistance on top of all my other allocated skill points/rep system passives that I wanted to focus more on offensive powers.
