Server taking massive dump

Not sure where the heck this server is located, but for over an hour it has been MASSIVELY laggy, like "hit Evasive Maneuvers, watch it count down to zero with no effect, then 30 seconds later you warp full speed into a planet" type of lagged to hell. Then it just stopped altogether, dumped me out, and I cannot even get the launcher to connect to the server to verify its patch level.

The server is most definitely NOT "up" as the webpage describes. It is down.

    If you visit the forums and don't see a massive sea of rage about the server acting up, you're probably best off:

    1) Checking your own system, firewall, router, etc. for a local problem;

    2) Checking for problems with your ISP;

    3) Posting in the Technical Support forum, rather than Federation Gameplay.
    You're right. The work here is very important.
