Fleet Dhelan or Scimitar?

I don't want to say I'm a new player as I have been playing off and on since launch but I do get confused occasionally by some of the game mechanics. That being said, I'm a Tac (DPS) captain and would like input on what people prefer from the above title? I've flown both and am still up in the air on how to best spec them, as I've experienced pros and cons with both. Thoughts?

    I have both, and love both. For maximum DPS, there is no denying that the Scimitar is top dog. Not just compared to the Dehlan. It is Top Dog. Period. /shatner.

    Don't dismiss the Dehlan though. When I first got the Dehlan, Sci powers were at an all time low, in suckiness. I was happy to trade up to the Scimitar. Recently, Grav well got major improvements. Grav Well 1 is pretty darn awesome.

    I did my first run of Breach on my Scimitar. At one point, I got stuck *inside* a wall. Breach is totally doable, and lots of people do do it, in a Scimitar. However, after my second Breach run I changed back to my Dehlan... and my oh my is the game much more enjoyable. Grav Well is so much fun in there, and the extra maneuvaribility is welcome too. I did loose out about 4K DPS, though, so, yeah, there is that. The Dehlan can still put out plenty of pain though, and a lot more control.

    The old speed vs braun dilema. The fleet dhelan is awesome. Though on my main (a tac) I prefer something heavier. For my heavy ships I like one monotanium and one neutronium embassy console with the plus turn modifier , the plasmonic leech, and if there is room the borg console in my engineering slots. On science I use one shield cap boosting console (I forget the name) plus however many flow capacitors I can fit. I find plenty of power in that combo..

    All sounds good, yeah I do like the maneuverability of the Dhelan. Is there any way to get the Scimitar closer to that? Couple of more questions/comments....For the Scimitar, is it still best to use all DHC on the forward? Second in the Scimitar regards, if I'm using the full scimitar console set, what are the best consoles to use in addition? Thanks for the insight so far!

    I have both, the dahlen is an awesome ship love it, I find a quick hard hitting ship recommend it, the scimitar is by far one of the best for dps, aux to batt and romulan beams firing at will is devastating, the scim is a beast just gotta know how to handle her, oh elite drone ships are a must.
