This is generally just a noob gripe. Well not all that noobly, been playing STO since March last year.
If anyone has picked up the Battlezone mission: Call-in Reinforcements, then you might know the aggravation that ensues upon completing a portion of whatever region of the map you're in.
This more or less is coming about after basically tanking two-three areas and at about 1/8th of the way from completing the time allotment for "securing" the zone, two or three teams show up, and help. Now, if it weren't for my trust Reman (sci) BOff keeping my dumbass alive in between strafing a couple mechs and setting up turret or Motor emplacements, I really wouldn't be all that frustrated. Then at around when the last round of chaos ensues, aforementioned teams arrive. Mission ends the "command credit vomit" takes place.
I'm not a programmer, and it seems to me that it might not be all that difficult to make an algorithm that monitors a player's "contribution" inside the control point fracas. Maybe something that would meter time<command credit access; where the amount of a player and his/her two BOffs spend in on a fight would determine the amount of Command Credits he or she can pick up. After that quota is filled, move on to the next zone.
In the large scheme of something being REALLY irritating, this is low slung on that totem pole. My real gripe is that dang device slot glitch! OMG, do you know how enfuriating it is to see health or shield at that danger close level, and when I go to hit the health/shield regen hot-key and I hear the *derp*, look down, nothing in the slot, then die.
Then this happens...

I have on more than one occasion been in a team of 2 and had the other person take all the purple orbs. It's just plain rude.
But this stuff can be fixed with each person getting their own instanced loot. Rift and Guild Wars 2 do it. and it works great. nobody steals other peoples stuff.
