Galaxy map navigation nerfed

Anyone else's Galaxy Map been nerfed? By that I mean, at least for me, the navigation icon no longer appears on the Galaxy Map - still there on the Area Map, but AWOL on Galaxy Map. All it shows now is which sector I'm in. Big help.

All since Season 8's rollout, of course. Grrr.

A few others in my fleet that I've talked to have said they have similar, but am curious how much broader this might be. If this is a bug or if this is a new "feature."

Not particularly pleased. Small gripe but still annoying as hell to have to navigate via Area Map.

Bigger gripe by far is the bug I'm experiencing where I can no longer use my keyboard for any of the mini-games such as Dilithium Mining or Scanning.

Now that is a gripe.

Anyone else?

Yes it has been gone since Season 8 launched and it is so far down Cryptic's huge list of S8 bugs they are probably not even worried about it at this point...:rolleyes:

:cool: hah. Yeah, probably. More than probably - most definitely. I'm consistently surprised by Season 8's ... unique properties and surprises.

Thanks for corroborating my issue. Having others in the same situation makes me feel slightly less like I'm having software issues on my end or am simply going crazy.

i was wondering what was wrong with the galaxy map.. it seemed so blend from just telling where you're in the galaxy.... i expected to be able to at least select a sector to plot a course to.

The map marker is still there showing a mission location, they just messed it up and it is now smaller than the system icon itself.
