Right now? Not really. Holidays are coming up in real life, in the game yes, mostly focused on the grind, but also the Winter Event when that comes out.
Not really expecting much past that from the devs until after the new year starts.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
I have actually been pretty absent form PvP myself lately. I try to get in some when I can, but it seems if you are one of the Haves, then you easily beat the Have Nots... Know what I am saying?
If there is not something that is broken it seems like the upper tier players just keep getting better, while the bar is lowered for new PvP players. Even I get better and feel somewhat Overpowered, even in weaker ships.
But tactics and the general evolution of the PvP experience I feel is similar to that of the true Evolution process. Either you evolve into something better, or you get left behind with the previous generations. This is why I feel if PvE players do not start taking an active interest in PvP soon, there will be no possible way to level the skill and ship building gap.
cant use batteries, nothing crits right, a TON of grinding and pve with the new rep and spire needs to be done, nope, not pvping much at all currently. im doing all this grinding FOR pvp though, its a temporary absence
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
played about five matches last night, probably wont be even on all weekend (other than boot camp), beta testing ESO - whenever it decides to WORK, lol. They must have sent out a million invites.

Well without crits my torp boats are useless - they have been slowly becoming more and more useless with all the resists - but no Crits it's like firing blanks.
Battery use -or lack off takes a bite into my sci and eng builds as well. Without faw most crusiers have gone back to uselessness. Those people happy about that should not be as soon it will be next to impossible to get a match - either in the Q's or opvp.
And then theres tier 4 Dyson coming that could make for some nasty situations.
Did help talk about adding a PvP rep?? If so that will be the end of PvP - if the elites can't be separated from the noobs - the gap to even survive for a few seconds is going to be getting wider and wider - and costlier - why will anyone new want to start and get rolled over and over and over.
Hrmmm, I might use a battery once a day if that...haven't noticed a loss of crits...about the only thing I've seen is it's all but impossible to lose crew with 2pc KHG.
The continued decline of my PvP participation, continues to rest squarely on the shoulders of player actions and not anything that Cryptic's done.
SOME ppl pay for play this game, take weeks or months to fix somting its not acceptable !
[System] Link has been on active duty for 415 days, 23 hours, 9 minutes, 16 seconds.
[System] Zelda has been on active duty for 126 days, 11 hours, 51 minutes, 48 seconds.
They could take PvP out of the game entirely, and I wouldn't miss it. I don't participate in it, so it's pretty much taking up valuable resources that could be allocated elsewhere, the way I see it.
I don't see pvp taking up much of anything from development. The focus is on PvE as evidenced in every single season released.
Personally I just log in to the forums read patch notes, some threads of interest then log out. I updated for the current season, but I can't bring myself to another rep grind. I might be done with Spacebar Tapping Online for quite a while.
PvE Jem'Hadar motto:Participation Ribbonsare life.
I dont pvp a whole lot, and the main reason is that there are way too many games I get involved in that last Forever, and only end when enough people quit.
I would rather get my TRIBBLE kicked 0-15 in 10 minutes then win a 90 minute fight, I simply cant be bothered to play a single game for that long.
The spam and cheeze, et cetera/ad nauseum doesent bother me as much as it bothers most everyone else.

Question; what if you change PVP to PVE. The player base need them both.

Well...there's spam and cheese...then there's spammed cheese. Then there's coordinated cheese. And well, I'm not overly fond of calling it cheese - but it fits in cases, eh?

...and yeah, why bother?
Course, that goes back to my unpopular belief there should be pseudo To-Hit rolls with things. For example:
Jam Sensors
Tom has JS1. He's got 0 CMS.
Jerry's got 99 Sensors.
While Jerry's 9 Sensors will reduce the duration of the JS1, Tom's JS1 will still jam him. Jerry could have 250 Sensors, and Tom could still jam him while having 0 CMS.
IMHO, Jerry's skill in Sensors should provide active hardening that reduces his chance to be jammed - not just reduce the effect after the matter.
Each rank of JS, mind you, should provide a bonus to the chance that the jam lands.
JS2 @ X CMS should have a better chance to jam than JS1 @ X CMS, etc, etc, etc.
In a similar fashion, of course, cleanses should have to do that little dance.
Somebody gets hit by Scramble3 - ST1 would have a reduced chance to cleanse it or reduce the duration compared to ST3. Even ST3, since it's LCdr while SS3 is Cmdr - would be lower ranked.
But it's never been a popular suggestion...never stopped me from making it though.
I dont PVP much, just a little bit here and there. I've done more the past week than any month before. I do not like item-centric games and STO PVP is very gear-centered.
They could take PvP out of the game entirely, and I wouldn't miss it. I don't participate in it, so it's pretty much taking up valuable resources that could be allocated elsewhere, the way I see it.
Haven't done much PvP recently, that's not due to the rep system, the new one is so simple and easy to grind a monkey could do it.
I'm just exploring some older games in my Steam Library to change things up a bit.

Well with the broken stuff, certain teams hell bent on spamming as much broken in a match as they can, boringly easy grind (yet more frickin grind), I've not even logged in for nearly a fortnight now.
I'll pop in to check my fleet stuff and that's about it.
Why even go in? You enter and run into an organized team of FAW spamming aux2bat Scimitars. I try to PvP from time to time, but running into a slaughterhouse is no fun.
Takes up server space. Also, anytime new equipment or abilities are introduced, they are SUPPOSED to be balanced against everything existing. This is SUPPOSED to take time, that could be spent bug hunting, and fixing launch bugs.
Very seldom does it appear anything is brought into balance with existing stuff. It is eitehr inferior and not used or superior and used. This is obvious in nearly all new releases from consoles to boffs, and ships. But this is as necessary for PvE as PvP, because who really needs anything new to beat any of the queue missions?
I would tell you that if they saved any time on PvP they would just devote that to the new content and not the old. Its not like any attention to PvP would help solve legacy issues of the game.
PvE Jem'Hadar motto:Participation Ribbonsare life.
When this game first of all came out, PvP was fun.. no stupidly OP mods.. actually took skill to stay alive.
Now?
It's a joke. If you don't P2W then you're screwed! I do the 3 runs for the daily and that's it now.
Heck, just check the numbers in the queues at any one time to actual people logged on playing - that'll give you an idea as to how many spend all day mashing it up. Not a lot!!
Every ship needs a duplicate set of slots for PvP Only. White gear only. No cheese, op mods, stupid Fleet gear, C-Store mods, doffs or traits are allowed.. Ship, skill & standard builds are all that we rely on.
ONLY then will PvP become fun again.
Until then, I'll just run the daily for the dilith.

Is the game STILL broke???????????
Dumb question huh?
Thought I would come back and do a little grinding mybe some PvP bumping
To the noobs disregard my post. To the Vets from the beginning how the hell are you guys, at least the ones still left here?
