if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

First have fun playing KDF. Everyone has a different play style.
The first thing I bought with zen was more character slots. But I don't think that is what you are asking. Which is exactly my point.
Go have fun! Then it will be obvious what you should buy with zen to enhance your play style.

With your first 1000z, I highly suggest not purchasing anything right away. Save it for when you get your first KDF toon to level cap. It also gives you more time to acquire more zen. Not only this, with more time, you'll get a better feel on what's a good purchase or not for your toon. It's slightly different for the KDF and things can be more expensive than playing Fed side. That's why I suggest waiting. Once past that...

If we're talking Universal Consoles for endgame, that means C-Store ships for the KDF primarily.
T4 Vor'Kang Battle Cruiser - Isometric Charge - Very good if you ever intend to fly a sciency type of ship, to include some BOP builds, and fly with good Particle Generator Skill.
T3 Vandal Destroyer - Plasmonic Leech - Very popular console, but for the KDF, you can only get this from buying the Vandal.
KDF C-Store Ships (Endgame)
Kar'Fi - Well balanced towards maneuverability and offense. A full fledged, 2 hangar carrier if you decide to try Carriers. I will say that if you want the FULL carrier experience, the KDF is it. The hangar unit selection is superior without breaking the bank for a decent one.
B'Rel BOP - The iconic B'Rel, has the Enhanced Battle Cloak and all the benefits it implies. Be careful, BOPs are not sturdy like Escorts and require a good hand to fly.
Mirror Vo'Quv - The standard Vo'Quv can be attained for free upon reaching BGen. If you miss that chance, it costs 200k dil which is expensive. If you still want to play the Vo'Quv, the Mirror version is quite nice and much more affordable than 200k dil standard Vo'Quv.
Dacoit Flight Deck Cruiser - A Tier 3 ship, but if you intend to play carriers, purchasing this unlocks the outstanding Orion Interceptor hangar units for your account.
Word of warning about the Bortasqu' ships... they handle horribly and most of the consoles are mediocre, IMO. Before you purchase any of these ships or the pack, I HIGHLY suggest looking over the stats carefully and browse this subforum for "Bortasqu" and you will get more information, both good and bad, about this highly divisive ship among KDF players. In short, you either love the Bortasqu' or hate it to no end. There is no middle ground in opinions of this ship.
Finding a boxed copy of STO on ebay or amazon or something will get you a Gold account for a month, which will give you lots of extra bank space and shared account and boff slots, plus an extra 500 zen, all for like $10. Its much more cost-effective than buying those things individually.
Setting those aside then, the EC-cap increase is a good investment, and then the Vandal Destroyer for the Plasmonic Leech. Most pay consoles are gimmicky, useful in some situations but very specific and with a long cooldown, but the Leech is one of the best consoles in the game and has a place in just about any build.
