Possible solution to battlezone lag

Like many I was going what is with all the lag and then going, what I have to respawn again. Possible solution, have to be off red alert to do; press esc, go to options, go to video tab and you'll see a bar that states speed at the lowest end to quality the highest.
Move the bar to low that should eliminate much of the lag in the battlezone, also select auto on your graphics card selection, however check what card and directX versions you have, you may not need to, however prior to today's patch I saw at least three selection for video card all of them seemed correct.
