Both Space, and Ground mission, Dailies, and even the new Reputation.
Lots of new area's to explore, missions to do, new tactics to learn, all in all, a very well thought out addition to Star Trek Online.
Granted there were a few bugs, but hey, that's to be expected with new Seasons, and updates. So no complaints there. Truth be told, they were pretty minor for the most part.
Anyway, just wanted to say CONGRATS on a job well done.
Also, just wanted to say thanks as well to PWEBranFlakes and the rest of the Forum Gremlins for all their time answering all our day to day questions, and keeping the community updated.
See you all in game!
I am not a Mod. I am just a player. You have been informed
tacofangs... you're not supposed to use your alt account to post on the forums :P
I do however agree, my friends and I enjoyed what we have played from season 8 so far.
I do not normally play ground missions, but I do like the new battle zone and will be playing more of it
Thanks for S8 Cryptic. Good fun even if there is so many "fail" threads. Everyone in my fleet so far has no major complaints tht i have heard so again on behalf of all of them... Thanks.

I have come to the conclusion that the majority of players who enjoy S8 are actually playing it, and those entitled few partypoopers who refuse to be happy with anything are the only ones making threads right now. Except this OP of course.

I'm posting here because in my timezone I'm at work Don't worry, as soon as I get home it's back to the breach. Only managed to squeeze in one run last night, because I had to try ground before having to hit the sack. I shall rectify that today.
Season 8 is pretty awesome in my book. it looks great, the ground zone is tons of fun, the rep system is miles better, the breach event is amazing the lobi voth costume is awesome, i even got lucky with the lockboxes this time round.
some minor tweaks here and there, and some bug fixing over the next few weeks are still needed but im enjoying myself immensely.
All well and good, but some people can't even get in game let alone play!
Not to mention the new bug where buffs and debuffs cast by players and their procs affecting everyone and everything.
Also i can't delete any mails anymore, Excange is broken.
Season 8 why test it on a test-server....

It unfortunately took a re-install to be able to play the game without crashing to the desktop, however, I did get it working now and had an opportunity to play the new Federation tutorial, which I thought was terrific!
I wish I'd had that experience when I first started playing, but it was fun to experience it, nevertheless. Nice work on that!

Lol, you've got a point - it DOES feel as if it were him posting.
Well, on Tribble, I had A LOT of trouble coordinating the Battlezone, making it much harder to get decent rewards in a decent amount of time. Still, nice concept. I'm particularly fond of Breach, though.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
Don't link to gold selling sites, you horrible leech of a person.
Really? People still link to Peregrine Falcon's list as though they think it's true? lol I don't even know how many different ways he misrepresented the truth in there. Oh wait, that's your sig....

You are right, Peregrine Falcon is not the cult hero people make him out to be. Isn't he banned from the forums? I remember seeing him on STOked and he annoyed me back then with his arrogance and twisting of facts. Why people still link to his propaganda is beyond me.
chiming in to say I'm enjoying the new season very much.
The battlezone is great fun, there's interesting tasks to complete, I like how the artillery, moving the tram across a bridge, taking control points, etc are all different so it's not just the same thing over and over. Lots of small rewards that eventually add up to something big so you can play quick and get a benefit or stick around and really let it add up.
The visuals are mind blowing. Big cheers to the art team.
Breech is a wonderful mission, I love the mix of tasks to accomplish, and again, visually very cool.
so far I'm ok with the new rep, but will see how it goes after a month of it.
Season 8 is great, I just wish Cryptic would overhaul the ground combat a little more. Things feel very unresponsive, and the guns have no real.. "oomph" to them. I suppose that last point can be ignored, since phasers don't exactly have kick, but whatever.

Season 8 was great up until today and now I am pretty sick of it.
I fly around the space zone and can only pick up missions worth a whole 1 dyson mark - Why bother?
I follow initial missions and extract teams only to find there is nothing in the drop off circle to advance mission at all.
So far I have not found a single method in command or in space of getting a daily but that may be down to the above point.
On the ground missions the control points are again spawning far too many enemies for a single player to handle especially when it gives a creature which will guaranteed kill you when it fires main guns. Obviously an Eng can hide behind a cover shield here but anybody else?
On the none cap n hold points where we have to shut down pillars, again how can a single player do these as they repair before we can even get to the last one?
All these together make me wonder why i even bother with the sphere. I have given it time and even have 295 marks earned by flapping around seemingly lost. For a seemingly coordinated joint assault we have absolutely no information at all.
This zone does not scale upwards from a single player perspective at all and very often I dont have online time enough to try and get a team together. This whole season would seem to be labeled a fleet action expansion as solo is basically impossible to a more normal player.
After careful consideration and a bit of reading I take back much of what I said above - See somebody will apologize and admit to being wrong.
It would seem that many issues I were experiencing about supposed OP'ness and the like was purely down to Bugs meaning I was killing my own ship on attacks. This was remedied by swapping to a ship which just did good old fashioned direct Pew-Pew to them which makes them go pop very quickly.
As for the lack of commendations it would again seem down to a bug as others pointed out the daily mission doesn't appear if you actually log in while still in the sphere. Leaving the sphere and re-entering made it pop up again.
So the ground portion may not be completable solo but that doesnt hinder commendation acquisition and so is a non issue really. Lets face it running around shooting Voth is fun so I have to go with the OP and change my stance to 'Well done on Season 8'.

Well, hate to burst your bubble, but I'm not TacoFangs. (Wouldn't want to fill his shoes, so to speak)
And I have noticed some bugs cropping up that I didn't notice before, like the Login issues, but still, over all, a nice Season.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
Its the first time I actually stopped playing so I can take it all in over the weekend.
From what I did see, left me gasping at the potentials.
I do hope some of these awesome assets make their way to the Foundry.
Territory control - awesome!
Voth Ship combat - awesome! Gosh those CPB's are a nasty surprise!
Rep. system - relief and appreciated.
Nausicaans - woot!!!
Voth Lockbox ships - I really like them. Not too little and not too much.
All in all well done!
