Liberated Borg Alien

tragamitestragamites Member Posts: 424 Arc User
We've seen them all over the game! Borg Andorian, Reman, Romulan, Human, Klingon even Tellerite Borg.

When will you give us Liberated Borg Aliens and Borg Costume items?

The Only Costume effects currently are Head Attachments and 7 of 9 for female Federation only!

The Liberated Human, Klingon and Reman can have that gaudy outfit that someone calls "Borg" but why not add...

Chest - Armor parts for starters, tubes and circuitry
Arm Attachments - different devices as seen in the shows
Leg Modifications - Biological to mechanical looks
Feet - Boots to "barefoot" Borg looks.

Alien Features with the ability to add an Infected look (Not like the Romulan Liberated Borg) so you could make any possible race that may have been assimilated and then Liberated by any Faction.

Make it so!

Well, I don't think they'll go with this, as Liberated Borg is exclusive for Life Subscribers. I personally would love to see more cyber implants, simply because they are cool, but the chance of it happening is sadly really small.

As a side note, you can add Infected look on the Alien creator.. I kinda went with the infected look to derp around on Tribble server, on humanoid character, so it is there - no idea if it's on the live server, but it definitelly is on Tribble server. Would post a screenshot, but it's 5 am and I am a wee lazy.

What is a bit weak, is even the fact that you can't even apparently, pick species of your Lib Borg if you are a life subscriber, so it's always a human for Fed, for example.
[10:20] Your Lunge deals 4798 (2580) Physical Damage(Critical) to Tosk of Borg.

The problem with Liberated Borg Aliens is clipping issues due to the number of options available for changing the shape of a head. Therefore, Cryptic would require a real limited Character Customization options for Liberated Borg Aliens.

They would make money if they added in more Borg character items or even a Borg Player Pack with:

TNG style armor (TNG series) (Voyager series) (First Contact)

Hugh faction Borg armor (TNG Descent, Part 1-2)

Plasma WRIST weapons... as in their arm outstretched and WRIST firing plasma weapon !!!!

More head parts / decor / scanners / probes / etc...

    Maybe someday....

I would have been happy with the 'borg' bodysuit that the boff comes with. All adjustments are to the head. :(

Nor should they be. Their ships would look weird.

I can confirm this is actually not true.

The power level of Romulan Republic clipping issues is over 9000!!!

Seriously... it's not horribly broken so it doesn't show up with every outfit. As an easy example.... use the TOS cape with a regular cape. the two capes will flap through each other as if neither has physical substance.

Liberated Borg BOff was from Pre-orders with Amazon, now anyone can buy them from the Cstore. Liberated Science BOff is an achievement award and anyone can buy the Romulan LBBO from the Lobi store.

Human(Eng) LBBO is only usable to Fed
Klingon(Eng) LBBO is only usable to KDF
Reman(Tac) LBBO is only usable to Rom

Romulan and Achievement are both Sci and a Romulan character can use the Eng once a side is chosen for that side.

Life member Borg Captain should be a "Alien" classification and have accesses to any costume as a "life member perk"

Alien LBBO's should be available w/o efficient trait that anyone could gain access to.

As a Lifer, I would like to see the option to choose which base species a new Borg captain would be. It shouldn't be too terribly hard to have a drop-down option where we can choose the base species, then choose which species head and from there which attachments.

I can confirm this is actually not true.

So having a pointed head or some of the various head attachments won't cause any clipping? Also include the various sizes of the heads that can be created and there would need to be some type of code that changes the length of the tubing. There is too many problems with just adding Borg implants to alien heads that I just can't see Cryptic resolving. A limited Alien character customization is just easier to do.

If you can confirm this is not true, then you obviously must have pictures to verify that my concerns are invalid.

I could see this with character creation for lifers with a base race however any known race that has been assimilated should be available as a base race for the Borg adaptation.

This could also be true for BOffs where customization has a drop down for presets for races you can make your BOff look like.

I would prefer rather than Liberated Borg Human/Klingon/Romulan/Alien it be simply Liberated Borg and include all the additional borg parts as stated above.
