Lifetime Subscription Sale by chance?...

Counting down the days to Season 8 (not to mention being able to get off the Windows side of my Mac) and am begging for the usual, Seasonal lifetime subscription sale. Have $200 just waiting to be spent. *beg beg beg plead plead plead*

    I often think about getting an LTS now that the game has gotten it's legs back under it, but aside from the stipend I can't see any reason to do so.

    Well, aside from the ability to use it to dismiss people in an argument on the forums.

    LOL Well, I like the stipend (have it in Champions Online which was purchased last year during a sale as a Christmas gift to the entire family... 3 for the price of 2. Not bad...). More than that I'd like the Borg character. Could care less about the Vet's ships. I'm a cruiser/tanking man. Extra slots aren't too shabby from the Vet list, either. So there's many reasons to do it and I don't see STO losing more market strength with this new season, only gaining. So surely it will stick around long enough to pay for the Lifetime many times over just via stipend alone.

    it was hinted by, i believe, Branflakes the other day that the LTS often come on offer around the hoidays...

    There are only a couple a year and they don't announce it ahead of time...research people...research.

    I did, and every sale so far has been in direct conjunction with a Season change. That's why I'm getting antsy :-D

    I used to love doing that, like back when 1000 day ship, was only given to those who had an active account for 1000 days or more....

    It has all lost value since anyone can slap down cash on day 1 and get the 1000 benefits and forum titles.....

    I remember the days, back in beta, when respect and high hopes ran free. Dreams soared through sector space as fast as a ship could carry them.... those were days you young whipper snapper, who has it sooooo easy now, after all my hard work and ground breaking efforts, you just waltz in expecting EVERYTHING I had to earn and work for... you lazy no good bums wanting hand outs from us hard working visionaries!!!

    You were saying something about LTS ??

    I bought mine and 3 week later bam! Discount! 100 bucks gone for nothing... Ah well, such is life:)
    A contract is a contract...(but only between Ferengi).

    Usually they do have some reason when they launch a sale, but there aren't but a few and they really don't announce things ahead of time.

    So you find they are always around a season change yet Branflakes claims they are usually around the holidays....

    I hope they do. I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing the LTS the last time it was on sale.

    Well, look at the last few season changes. July. December. July. December. Okay, not exactly, but pretty close. Just happenstance.

    Hope the sale happens sooner than the next anniversary, though I'm sure they will have it before the holiday shopping season kicks in high gear and less people would be able buy it. Though crossing your fingers may also help.
