Idea for a new Klingon Raptor class ship.

Had this idea for (perhaps?) the KDF's first 5 fore slot Raptor class ship.

Through their alliance (or stole from, in keeping with they stole cloaking tech from the Romulans) with certain Romulan Captain's, the KDF have managed to replicate the (Scimitar hanger pet) Drone ship in to a new kind of Raptor class escort.

It doesn't have a cloak, but instead uses the Drone's ability to disguise itself as an enemy ship. A passive pbaoe confuse effect. Coupled with a holographic projector to disguise the ship.

The Adaptive weaponry might be trickier to implement, you'd have to make a new type of weapon entirely I think.

Still, I think the idea has merit. Thoughts?

Points for original thinking but I feel it would be too powerful for an always on ability.

But I will Settle for a normal Raptor with Universal Ensign and 5 Fore Weapons.

Preferably it's C-Store so it's fleet version can be had cheaply.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.
When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.

Rather than a passive, it replaces the cloak. One click and the ship changes via a holographic projection, but disables the weapons. Rather than turn invisible, it generates a confuse field or a placate effect similar to Jam Sensors.

Interesting idea but according to lore, we traded for cloaking. We did not steal it.

Not sure what it could be named though, tried to find the Klingon word for chameleon (I know, not really what a chameleon does), but it turns out there is no word.

    Perhaps a 3-Ship pack;

1 console is the actual holoprojector.
1 console generates small pbaoe charged particle burst.
1 console generates holographic shielding that temporarily boosts all energy resists.

3 piece bonus; The ship can briefly generate multiple holographic decoys (think Singularity's Warp Shadow)

Frigate sized pets are usually limited to BIG ships though, just heavy 2-hangar carriers and the Scimitar.

Maybe instead a Raptor carrier, using knowledge gleaned from assisting the Republic in the development of the Ar'kif (and trading material support to learn about Romulan shipbuilding)?

Same boff layout as the MVAE (finally giving the KDF a sci-heavy Raptor)
    4/3 Weapons
2/3/4 Consoles (+1 sci for fleet version)
    Fighter deck
    31,500 hull, 0.9 shields
    16 turn
Console that enhances the cloak somehow (learned from the Romulans) but specifically isn't Battle Cloak

For the console how about a PBAOE Sensor Scramble within 5km when you decloak and it has an internal cooldown.

But honestly why not give new Klingon ships Battle Cloak?

I think it should be 5/3. Fed and Rom have them, need to balance the game by giving KDF some 5/3 options.

Couldn't you just carry the Antimatter Spread console, activate it on decloak, and get the same result? Maybe for a fancy cloak allow some form of the enhanced turn rate plus Enhanced Turn While Ambushing kinda thing? Something closer-too but still not-quite a Romulan cloak. I'd still vote no BC though because thats the Romulans schtick, whereas non-BoP Klingons use cloaks to initiate an attack, but then either kill or be killed not run away if its going badly (well maybe a Duras). "Faction uniqueness" and all right?

I took a stab at a Cloak enhancing console.

I guess it was more miss than hit.

I would love a 5/2 Raptor with a Universal Ensign. I'd also really like a 5 Tac Console 4/3 Raptor as well.

    5/2 Escorts & Raptors
    5/3 Cruisers

You know what? Make that layout have a uni lt cmdr and it'd patch various holes in the KDF ship line-up in one go. I'd buy it regardless, though.
