Efficient Saurian BOff w/ Romulan?

Hello all,

I recently paired a Saurian BOff with my Romulan (Fed-side) and I did not see any difference in energy (Even the ones that are 15/15). Does anyone know if they are not compatible?

    Did he have Effecient space trait?

    Did you test in system space? Doesnt work in sector space

    Efficient generally grants a decimal improvement to your power, and is usually only ever noticeable on the power meter if you either combine several Efficient Boffs and/or you use multiple other sources of decimal improvements to your power level.

    You'll also want to increase your Startship Warp Core Efficiency skill as well. If you can stack +20-+30 extra efficiently. you;ll see a signitifcant amoun of bonus power especially 15 power setting.

    actually, not just romulan, i stopped using them altogether, I just don't see my power levels move, ever.

    You see it move, but depending on your skills and current power levels, you might only see it go +1 for each boff. My advice, if your captain is efficient and you spent 6 points on WCE and WCP, don't bother with these. Even without the efficient captain, I wouldn't use them. Even human boffs seem more useful. Need more power? Flow caps and plasmonic leech my friend.

    Sorry - crazy weekend at work and so I couldn't not respond until now.

    I can confirm that the Saurian had Efficient trait and that I was in the Earth Sol system, next to space dock. I had 15/15 aux and 15/15 engine power levels, so I'm pretty sure I qualify to have it move at least +1 tick.

    I was able to level up a little ... might try it again when I have a chance to see if it has healed itself over the course of a level or two gain + some skill gain or after a few days ... =)
