So the Ambassador or "support Cruiser" is given as a reward for a story arc mission (which is fantastic, love playing with it. But sadly since its a low end ship you move on from it pretty quickly, and it just collects dust.
Now onto the fleet version, is there any specific reason that it should cost 4 modules since we technically own the original version? (And there is no Z store version to purchase with a unique console to reduce the fleet cost)
Now I understand cryptic is a company looking for ways to make profit, and I also understand that modules are farmable via in game dilith farming and EC farming. Just curious if anyone else thought (in their opinion) that maybe it should've had a 1 module cost similar to if we obtained a regular version of said ship via the Z store? (Would still not be "free", just technically cheaper)
Thoughts?

There are several ships that are not available from the c-store and do not have a fleet discount.
The Fleet Module discount only ever applies to ships that are purchased at Rear Admiral or Vice Admiral (ie. those costing 2,000 Zen or more).
The Support Cruiser Retrofit (Rear Admiral) was only available for a limited time as an additional reward for completing the Temporal Ambassador mission when it was first released.
To pay back the money they, lost when making it. Also to get as much income for the game as possible. The only fleet ships are the 3 pack ships in the z store, also consistency. Not everyone has the time to grind, so some pay.
