What the hell is up with Mine Trap?? Why are all the colonists getting massacred by salt vampires in route to the evacuation point? And why can't we defend the colonists or kill the vampires? I did one last night and we saved a total of 28 (twenty eight) colonists due to this TRIBBLE. What kind of stupidity was programmed into this mission?
I've got absolutely no idea what you're talking about. The mission is fine, as long as players are competent enough to read the starting tooltip and stick to it. Done the mission yesterday with about 120 civilians saved without any problems.

Clearly you are getting "psioniced" this is where the Salt Vampires confuse you and you end up killing civilians, also in this state you cannot shoot the baddies.
Clearly you need to pay more attention.
Inertia just means you can do Powerslides in you carrier!

The most common issues with losing civilians during the escort phase:
1. team members left their assigned zone and are escorting the wrong civilians to the wrong ship, you don't have enough people to kill the vampires fast enough to protect the civilians. Especially a problem when the alphas show up.
2. AFK team members
3. Team members get confused by the vampires and kill the civilians. Especially common with grenades and other aoe attacks.
4. bad coordination and the team gets too spread out. One guy runs ahead spawning lots of enemies, others don't herd the civilians so they get left behind.
One important thing to remember: you can revive dead civilians if you're fast enough.
When you have no healing on your team sometimes it's the only way to make it through the escort.
