There is JJtrek in STO

First, all we do is pew. And then pewpew.

Second, we know the TSABC looks strikingly close to the Narada, without voiding licence stuffs.

And now, we now also have the Avenger resembling the JJprise.

Furthermore, this ship is named and comes with the console like the villain does (except according to tech notes, the villain didn't install his console, resulting in a huge hole in the saucer).

This makes it a two-in-one reference for those who have been demanding a JJprise or a Dreadnought-class. In effect, you got both at once.

I should've noticed this earlier... Guess that's one more reason to love/hate the Avenger. :cool:

    I really don't get the people who compare the Avenger to the...forgot the name of that piece of junk...Vengeance was it?

    I just don't see how they compare except for having a Saucer, Nacelles, Deflector, and a Hull...

    The Klingon Honor Guard armor bears a striking resemblance to the Klingon outfits that were supposed to be in Trek 11, and did eventually make it onscreen with Into Darkness.

    Also, using the available uniform options, it's very easy to make your Romulan crew members look like Nero's crew.

    And you can place Nero's tattoo on your face.

    And the Red Matter Capacitor is in the game too.

    So yeah, the stuff Kurtzman, Orci and Abrams came up with for their take on Trek has definitely leaked into the game. Since the beginning.

    I wasn't comparing the Avenger to the Vengeance. I was comparing the Avenger to JJ's Enterprise/Starship-class.

    In fact, the Avenger also agrees with what the JJ-Starship-class does in the first movie.

    I mean, come on. It's the Romulan tattoo. It's the same one Nero has on his face in the Trek movie. It's really pretty simple that it is something from the movie that is in the game. It's not a big deal.

    Yeah, the only thing it's got with the Vengeance is the name and the console.

    The shape, shadow, size and ratio of nacelle to everything else is evidently the JJprise.

    just because some actor had it painted on his head for a movie dont mean he was the first human to every use till some one can show that tattoo is copy right JJ trek and ask for it being the romulan tattoo even before LOR you could use that tattoo

    I really think the Cruiser Refit looks a lot more like the JJPrise then the Avenger. The Avenger looks funny.

    Thats my .02 EC.

    Personally, I've always felt that the Avenger looks - if it looks like anything besides an 'Avenger Battle Cruiser' - looks like the offspring of a Galaxy and an Intrepid...

    Also on the subject of JJ inspired ship designs the Regent and Venture look like JJized versions of the Sovereign and Galaxy respectfully.

    LOL and the Devs wanted to give us an S31 ship with a black paint job... when the Avenger clearly is the S31 ship + black job.

    Unless they were hinthint-nudging us all along.

    I would suggest anyone who thinks the Avenger looks like the JJprise to find a new optometrist..... about the only thing it has in common with the JJprise is the whole saucer/hull/nacelle motiff that is fairly common with many federation ships.... it has more simiarities to the Odyssey and Exploration Cruiser refit, almost an amalgamation of the two... with some Intrepid thrown in. It's far more different from the jjprise than it is alike.... The STO ship with the most similarities to the JJprise is the Exeter Class cruiser retrofit.

    It's Nero's tattoo. It's from the Star Trek movie. It's part of the JJ Abrams Star Trek movie that was used in this game.

    What are you talking about? Of course it's been in the game before LOR. When I said it's the "Romulan" Tattoo, what I'm saying is that's what it's called in the character creator.

    Technically, what movie does Nero appear in? Who made that movie? Is it a JJ Abrams film? Is it the same tattoo from JJ Trek appearing in STO? Technically?

    I mean since they were allowed to take Red Matter which was created in the movie, but it existed in the prime universe, so maybe the same reason and they were allowed to use the Nero tattoo.

    just so you know, the comics pre-jjtrek, star trek countdown, had nero and its crew with the tatoo, it also had cryptic federation uniform design, and it tied in part of the cryptic backstory(like picard becoming federation ambassador to vulcan and data becoming the captain of the enterprise-E).

    i'm pretty sure cryptic must have gotten permission from CBS to put that tatoo ingame.
