First I'd like to thank you and the other devs for implementing cruiser commands. Having played around with the Avenger class I love how they not only address the most common complaints about cruisers but they also improve the cruisers strengths. Plus the way they encourage teamwork and new team tactics.
That being said, which dev deserves credit for coming up with cruiser commands?
Can you elaborate on the process of how the four commands were developed and how it was decided what different types of cruisers would get specific commands? For example the Galaxy Dreadnaught and the Orion Flight Deck Cruisers.
Can you give us a hint as to when cruiser commands will roll out for the rest of the game? When I fly my Fleet Excelsior I already miss the commands.
Now that cruisers look like they're going to be in a good place once again, are you working on anything for science ships in the near future so that we once again have a nice balance between the escort, cruiser, and science ship archetypes?
Any word on that cannon broadsider you've talked about in the past?
You can't be serious. Highest dps ships you could see won't be a cannon build. Beam arrays are more than viable.
Yeah, thanks for the laugh. If that was the case then people would've been beating NWS, STFs, PVP and such using Beams all the time and not cannons. Or flying ships that can use cannons like the Vesta, Scimitars (really any romulan warbird can), or the new Avenger.
One canon ship that needs to be added but gets somewhat forgotten is the Norway-class, only ever seen in "First Contact". Not much to look at (oddly placed top mounted deflector) but the only ship missing from the "First Contact" lineup now that we have the Steamrunner-class added.
Are there any plans to currently address min/max related issues regarding specific combinations of duty officers and bridge officer powers? The aforementioned issues are causing game breaking imbalances in both PvE and PvP, and leading to a mass homogenization of ships (one build to rule them all).
Any comment?

It was revealed a while ago that the Constellation class would probably be the next canon addition to the federation fleet. Hints for it have disappeared though, is a potential tier 5 Connie flame war stopping the ship from being released?
Will the fleet K'tinga have it's low res model errors corrected? Will it get proper customization like swapping nacelles?
Will the Romulans get their duty officer recruitment doff missions brought up to Fed/Klingon standards? No one will mind if we have to stop getting the native factions doff recruitment missions.
Can the company enact another poll like the one we had that brought in the romulan faction? The recent series centric poll was great but we'd like a say in the games functional development again.
Could the federation get a new line of ships in the destroyer category? They already have one in the form of the vet ship, it would be a great place to put kit bashes like the canon one nacelle Freedom class.
Why not make boff slot altering bridge modules a reality?
Can the forum get some more emoticons?
Has ther been any progress on updating the Luna class model?

How about the New Orleans-class as a destroyer? Technically it was a frigate, but that doesn't really exist for player ships.
2) What's going on with the STF visuals in the tailor? Recently Klingon females lost one of their chest options... Romulan players have numerious issues with the Omega visuals.
Can we see the: Romulan drone ship from Enterprise,D-7 (KDF ROM), K'Vort-class Bird of Prey, Constellation class cruiser for T1 and T5, and a TOS costume for all T1-T4 Fed ships
Have you guys considered releasing ship part packs to give players more options in customizing their ships?
Like federation cruiser nacelles, bird of pray wings, and so on.
How come all of my Romulan toons can not display their armor?
All I can display is my Kit and my Weapon the armor will not show no matter what I do.
Is it because of my uniform choice? Romulan Survivor 2 I think, I can not login right now due to server maintenance to check but it is the open one with small pointy shoulders. I usually make it all as black as I can get it and make the shirt visible in the open part the color associated to the my class or the boff class that is wearing it. Also all of my toons are female because that is what I am...
Another Q: Will we ever see Account-wide Accolades so we don't have to repeat boring content on every single character?
Yeah, thanks for the laugh. If that was the case then people would've been beating NWS, STFs, PVP and such using Beams all the time and not cannons. Or flying ships that can use cannons like the Vesta, Scimitars (really any romulan warbird can), or the new Avenger.
So move on.
Rofl you're simply a blind fool if you don't believe what is in front of your eyes. demarion bfaw a2b scimitar - capable of 30k dps. Kumari with dhcs capable of 19-22k at the most.
Btw serious dps players run beams when they want higher numbers.
You've created the Elachi mostly for the Romulan storyline but didn't use their assets anywhere else (aside from the lockbox...). We've only got two PvE missions against the them, with no way other than the Foundry to fight their space mobs as FED or KDF. Any plans to re-visit the Elachi and introduce them in more daily missions or fleet actions, like you did with the Tholians?
Got two questions here, hope that at least one of them makes it into the interview:
Question 1-
Several Starfleet ships have bizarre hardpoints for dual beam banks (such as the extreme edges of the saucer of the Galaxy class or the edges of the Wells class' fore section). It's mostly on ship classes that cannot equip dual cannons; for some reason, dual beam banks and dual heavy cannons share emanation points, even on ships that cannot equip that heavier weapon type. Will this odd visual hiccup ever be addressed? Such as by assigning the beams to fire from visible weapons strips or turret nodes, for example. Or are those hardpoints too "tied up" for this to be feasible?
Question 2-
Ground enemies are becoming tougher and more elaborate and now, with the advent of the Voth, literally much larger. While we are seeing new weapons popping up, for the most part they are simply exotic energy types in pre-existing weapon families. There's one big weapon that I've been waiting for that may help level the playing field against massive Voth genetisaurs and battle mechs: The Isomagnetic Disintegrator. Will this big bad ever make it into STO? It'd definitely help level the playing field against these much larger and more well armored foes.
1. Not asking for a specific date, but is Terradome on the cards to make a return ever? If so will its Elite version be challenging even for 'Rep Maxed/Ultra Rare Fleet Everything' characters and will it get a separate Space/Ground format and dilithium/marks rewards akin to the Borg STF system?
2. There have been a few threads on the forums in recent months on Bridge Officers and their traits and even some dev appearances in one or two of the discussions. What information can you give, if any, on how bridge officers in general may be looked at for the future? Specifically, in terms of a trait revamp for all and any new Bridge Officer abilities we may be getting.
3. Are there any plans at any point, near, mid or long-term future to implement Aux Single and Dual beams, similar to the Aux Cannons on the Vesta, as either a Lobi, Dilithium, Fleet or C-Store purchase as part of a set on a new Science Ship for Romulans, KDF or eventually both?
4. While I see the Avenger as a step in the right direction, I firmly second the motion that Geko better justify his statement that STO is not Tac oriented based on actual gameplay, rather than the DS9 parking lot. Using someone else's wording here might be better lol.
"So my fun is wrong?"
No. Your fun makes everyone else's fun wrong by default.
1.) Has any thought or time been put in to for a way to when you ignore a player, you block their entire avatar from being seen?
2.)When will we see more usable emotes in the game?
3.)Would it be possible to see more variety in Starbase Maps, maybe special projects that give you different looking layouts of Starbase Interiors, or adding backdrops or planets to Starbase Space Map. Or even adding maps for the facilities.
4.)What is the status of letting us use foundry tech to make our own Starbase and Starship Interiors?
5.)I love some of the inteior maps from the tutorial. The Academy Shuttle Bay to the Starship Shuttle Bay, to the Starship interior corridors and transporter room. It had a much better details in the map that made it so much superior to our current Starship Inteiors. Any possibilities this method may be taken into the Starship Interios?
Can you please tell us a confirmed date for season 8 starting please?
Also can something be done about game bugs much more often?
The current bug problems are an irritating nuisance in game.
Where are we at with PvP. Is it a lost cause or is there an actual plan on the horizon? Could the territory war being mentioned for season 8, be modified to work for a future PvP update?
With tribble notes showing us the new fleet holding and new fleet ships with it, what are some visual differences in these new fleet ship and the thoughts of how they where done?
Does the GM team have access to a character editor? and if not why not?
In the entirety of STOs life I have never heard of any one ever having anything about their character fixed. GMs seem to only be able to effect account issues, not character ones.
Some times bugs in STO break characters in one way or another. A specific example being the STF accolade bug that prevents characters from ever receiving STF costume unlocks.
If the GM team had a character editor they could simply change the bugged accolades from the uncompleted to completed state and resolve the problem on an individual character basis.
On the 20th it will be 192 days since the devs acknowledged this bug. Its been over a year since the first bug reports I know of were filed on the matter. The thread in the bugs forum has received over 14,000 views.
I accept that the bug squishing department at cryptic probably consists of one guy and a potted plant, and as such time has to be allocated to fixing those bugs which effect the largest number of people first.
But why are the GMs not empowered to fix this sort of thing on an individual character basis? What about the guy with some other bug effecting his character that effects only him? There is no chance the potted plant is ever going to have time for his issue. If the GMs had a character editor he could file a ticket and in a couple of months when the GMs got around to responding to it, they could help him.
Is there a FED ship coming to the game with the same BOFF and Console Layout as the D'Deridex? maybe an Advanced Exploration Cruiser and Advanced Exploration Cruiser Retrofit. so it could sit alongside the current exploration cruiser range. The Advanced Exploration cruiser and it's retrofit counterpart would both have identical stats to it's ranking D'Deridex counterpart.
What can Cryptic do to attract more players to the KDF side? Could you introduce a highly desirable species to it? Or a new class? It seems like the new story content was not enough to entice a lot more people although it was pretty good.
A new T5 C-store ship on the KDF side that was up to par with the Scimi, Avenger, would make a lot of people really happy and stop a lot of complaints. Can't this be made more of a priority?
PvP seems to not even be on your radar. Why not do away with it completely, or make a truly solid commitment to improving it?
Prices for ships and most C-store items are too high. $25.00 for one ship is just too much. As an example, I bought a starter pack for another space combat MMO recently for 25 bucks that gave me 3 ships total, a couple vanity customization options for said ships, currency boosts, a couple cool equipment items and other goodies. Can't Cryptic provide a better value for the in game items it sells with a greater variety available and with more cosmetic options?
Especially considering the fact that many of the ships there are now obsolete. Can Cryptic drop prices in the C-store to more realistic and affordable prices? Can Cryptic offer more sales with more aggressive discounts?
Five bucks for a skill tree respect is too much. Should be half that.

Okay maybe single cannons
