Tier 5 Kamarag?

I've heard references to this off and on. When I first completed the Temporal Ambassador mish on my first character, a Fed, I got packs for both the Tier 3 and Tier 5 versions of the Support cruiser. But when I played it with my KDF toon, all I got was one pack with the Tier 3 Kamarag. Did I miss out here?

    If memory serves, it was a limited time reward, as was the T5 Ambassador.

    There is a fleet version of it though.

    You missed the anniversary event I'm sorry to say.
    Only during that particular event it was possible to get the T5 version of the Kamarag and the Ambassador.
    Outside of it, the mission still exists but it only rewards the T3 version.

    Aye, that I'd noticed, and I'm certainly considering picking it up. Just can't figure out why... oh wait, I get it. *Just* the T5 was the limited-time-only reward. If I ran a new toon thru it, I'd get the T3 Ambassador/Kamarag, but not the T5. I must have missed the event with my KDF. OK, well, at least it makes sense now. Thanks :)

    Edit: I'm not completely daft. I ran that a loooong time ago, I just didn't remember that I'd missed that event.

    I'd gift one to you if it wasn't toon bound. For 4 fleet modules and 200K fleet credits the fleet version is a bit better than the freebie T5 version, but at that price the fleet version isn't worth it over the T5 version if you already have it.

    Can't you still get it in your fleet shipyard? I don't know what tier shipyard you need for it though...

    Mighty kind thought. :) I doubt I'll have trouble affording the credits, tho I might have to buy FSMs next time they run a Zen sale. Biggest issue for me is my small fleet, and while there are plenty of helpful folks willing to provide access to their shipyards, it just seems like such a hassle.

    It's 4 FSM and 20k Fleet credits. ALL Fleet ships cost only 20k fleet credits. You get 10% more hull and shields but also a 10th console over the anniversary ship.

    Considering that FSMs can be bought for 'free' using EC off the exchange, and 20k fleet credits is ridiculously easy to get, the cost is perfectly acceptable IMO.

    Depending on the amount of ECs you piled up, try the exchange. You can get FSMs there as well and the prices aren't too bad on a good day.;)

    oops, butterfingers is my excuse. I meant 20K FC's. Still, FSM's arent exactly free and with 4 in hand I can think of better ways to spend them than 10% more hull and shields + 1 console.

    But if don't have the free T5 the fleet version is a wonderful addition to your hangar.

    Too bad the T3 version doesn't give you a discount on FSMs to buy the fleet version. *sigh*.

    I do wish they would put the (non-fleet) T5 retrofits on the fleet shipyards for 200k each

    It's bizarre that those ships aren't more available. Not everyone played the game during the anniversary. I know I took a leave of absence around that time, only came back and did 'Temporal Ambassador' for all my characters hours before the event ended.

    Considering that the Odyssey and Bort is available for 200k and they were the other anniversary ships, i don't understand why the Ambassador and Kamarag aren't similarly available.

    The fleet version is one of my favorite ships in the game, both aesthetically and performance wise. I run her on one toon and a Tor'kaht on another, but at least in my opinion she is a fantastic ship. I can't wait for cruiser commands.

    I started as a fed Escort pilot and now battle cruisers are my bread and butter.

    Can anyone recommend a basic Kamarag build and loadout? I'm new to Battle cruisers having just recently hit 50 on my KDF engineer, so I'm sort of at a loss. For the record, I've no access to Rep Gear at the moment, just hand-me-downs from my Fed Main and mission rewards. no plans to get a C-store KDF ship at this time, so no plasmonic leech yet.

    What I've got right now on my T5 Kamarag:

    Fore: 2x Disruptor Array, 1x Disruptor DBB, 1x Quantum Torpedo
    4x Disruptor Array

    Tac Lt: Beam Overload, AP Beta
    Tac Ens: Tac Team
    Cdr Eng: EPTS1, Aux2SIF, Eject Warp Plasma, DEM3
    Lt Eng: EPTS1, EPTW
    LtC Sci: HE1, TSS2, Power Siphon 2 (gonna replace with Grav Well/Tyken's rift I)

    Eng consoles: Neutronium armor, RCS console, power consoles
    Tac consoles: disruptor console x3
    Sci consoles: Field Gen, Shield Emitter Amplifier (to be replaced with field gen)

    Doffs: Emergency power recharge, Emergency power boost, Beam attacks recharge, Tac team recharge, evasive manuevers recharge (to be replaced once able)
