You might get the top two, but the city ship is a movable starbase that can do transwarp. No way that will be lockbox ship, it can eat Scimatars and it takes fleets to beat it. It'd be like making the crystalline enity into lockbox ship.
Now what could be cool in a future season is having a damaged Voth City Ship as a Fleet Holding. The tiers could be Voth City Ship tiers I to III, with subtracks Repairs I to III and Upgrade tiers I to III.
Repair would fix up the ship and Upgrade would intergrate some fed, rom, and klingon tech into the ship.
Love the Concept art, the two finished looking ships are beautiful. Hoping that the top right one will be player usable. She looks very fun, I love the lines on her. The First ship looks like it would be one hell of a bruiser to go up against. This new Season is looking to be a lot of fun.
Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

Heck ... I just want to see the city ship in the Foundry.
I just want to give a shout out to the artists at Cryptic for their work here. I feel that what you guys do is often underappreciated, and the Voth concept art is pretty awesome.
And I don't know about anyone else, but I look at that City-ship concept and I'm seeing the head of a Xenomorph from "Alien"...
Ah, that might be why I like the city ship concept so much. Even if it looks like a hand gun as well. I hope the front doesn't get changed, it looks perfect.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
That concept is certainly not the one ship we actually seen.
The canon ship is in the game as a Citadel Dreadnought. Presumably it can be used by the Voth as either a smaller city, or a powerful combat vessel (presumably without the millions of civilian inhabitants).
I would imagine the new city ships are an even bigger model, a sort of NY/Shanghai/Mexico City metropolis compared to the canon city ship's smaller urban center.
Take a look at my Foundry missions! Conjoined, Re-emergence, and . . .
1) Your concept artists do great work. Honestly, I like some of the concept ships better than what we got. In particular, 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 13, and 14 from the group sketch. All those visible cityscapes look gooooooooooood.
2) Please let the top right ship from the two models we did get be a full carrier, preferably the FE reward. It's got that great internal runway look like a venator class star destroyer from star wars.
3) Please please please tell me we get a bridge and you haven't given up on those yet. Preferably more than one giant room with a broom closet like the kumari was.
4) More news on the FE! You're killing me with all this art. I'll see it when I see it, I want developments!
What would have been interesting is if the ships had a subtle Starfleet feel to them. The Voth supposedly evolved from Earth. It'd have been neat to see a similarity to the modern Earth residents.

I just wonder which side would be the one where you don't want to be in front of...
But I'm still a mere human."

I sure as heck hope so ... the cruiser to the left doesn't strike me as much as the escort to the right.

And yet they keep pet dinosaurs. :P Sorry, couldn't resist.
Those ships look awesome. I can't wait to blow them up!

Just to be clear, best UPDATE as opposed to expansion (IE: LoR)?
I have been here since Season 3, and one of the most exciting updates for me was season 5. I loved Defera ground and those ensuing red alerts.
I hope STO get's better ...

I'm sorry to people who I, in the past, insulted, annoyed, etc.
I like these ship designs.
And an official 'wow' to all the images, at that.
Hey, wouldn't you want a pet dinosaur to tag along with you as you go cruising through space in your ancient magnificent temple ship? I sure would.
Great looking ships! Can't wait for season 8 to be released!:) Now, if only there was a playable Suliban race for the Romulan republic...;)
More to the point, these ships don't look to bad, specifically the top right and the city ship concept.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

Then again they are in the same area as the Borg. You can?t adapt to death!
They also make me think of those Homeworld 2 progenitor ships you could get in the campaign.
I'm glad someone thinks the same thing about that as I do...
Looking forward to seeing them in game.
