Fleet K'tinga or Fleet Tor'hkat. Fleet Tor'khat has several nice apperance mix'n'match options. If you purchased the Vor'kang you have the option with the Fleet Tor'khat of mixing and matching Tor'khat parts, Vor'cha parts and Vor'kang parts all on the same ship. Makes some interesting visuals.
I've been flying my Fleet K'tinga for quite a while now. I'll be switching to the Fleet Tor'khat shortly for a change of pace.
For a battle cruiser, the K'tinga has a fantastic turn rate. The Tor'khat can't touch it. But the Tor'khat will give you more hull points.
Having tons of fun with the Gorn science ships. The Phalanx and the Varanus where free gifts some time ago. I did buy the Draguas for the Aceton Assimilator.
My Tac flies the Phalanx right now. I have a grav well and tach beam. Full on Aux power, I melt shields, an Alpha strike Harg´Peng is often an instant kill. I seldom get a scratch. Don´t know why people say these ships, or science in general, is sub par.
Btw, I specc everything for everything, tac, science and engineers, all are generalists.
Hey everyone, still can't make my own topics, but that's alright. I just completed that test your mettle mission and am finally eligible for my second ship. Qapla' and all that. I am trying to decide between the Quldun, Somraw, and K'tanco. Birds of Prey have a special place in my heart as the traditional klingon vessel and battle cloak seems nice, but I'm just not sure. I am a tac officer btw.
My 1st KDF captain is tactical. For that captain the choice was very simple... BoP all the way. That captain is currently flying the T5u B'rel BoP Retrofit. I bought the T5 B'rel BoP Retrofit when it was on sale for 1,600 Zen (20% discount) and I used a ship upgrade token (1 of 3) that comes bundled with the Delta Rising Ops Pack which I bought for 10,000 Zen (20% discount).
My Delta Recruit is a KDF tactical captain. However, I not want another BoP captain. Instead I went with raptors for a different type of play style... and also because I did not want the T6 Mat'ha (from the DR Ops Pack) to go to waste since my KDF engineer was flying the Qib battlecruiser and my KDF scientist was also flying the T5u B'rel BoP Retrofit; the universal Boff station makes it a good enough science vessel substitute.
Flying BoP is really fun in my opinion. I even use them to play Storming The Spire queued PvE mission (level 44 minimum); a mission where nearly everyone uses beam weapons and FAW (fire at will).
Fleet Tor'kaht ftw! Or now a fleet Mat'ha if you can afford it.
I'm a tac flying the Tor'kaht. Do not be fooled by the engie appearance of this ship. You can set this ship up like an escort with 3 cannons and a torpedo. Use an RCS fleet console and the deft cannoneer skill for that extra turn rate. It works really well!
Tyr shall give me strength! For the glory of Tempus! I am the hands of Shar! Flames of Kossuth, protect me! Oghma, grant me knowledge! Lolth commands, and I obey!
I created a klingon a while back but only recently started to level her up, I'd like help deciding what ships to get and ultimatly, what end game ship to get. I'm a tac officer btw.
My KDF Tac flies a Fleet Norgh, a Fleet Torkhat and a Fleet K'Tinga. All have been upgraded. The Norgh is favorite. Agile and fun and the least squishy of the BOP's. The Torkhat is a good, solid ship that can handle almost anything and the K'Tinga, while mainly for the pure fun of flying an iconic design I love, can hold it's own.
*STO*Its mission: To destroy strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations... and then kill them, to boldly annihilate what no one has annihilated before!
Klingon Engineer toon flys a fleet T5U vet DD.. It's a good ship.. nice up grade from the stock vet DD and T5U of the same.
Orion Engineer flys a Fleet T5U Tor'kaht... has other ships that can play with including a fleet T5U k'tinga, t5u DSD.. but he the 'Kaht has such a sweet balance of firepower, defence, and manuverability that in spite of a serious lack in the Sci Boff seating dept I find myself hard pressed to want to get out of it.
If you have the cash for C-store KDF ships consider any and all of the the intel, and command rated ships.. if staying alive through thick and thin is your thing wait a week or so.. We're going to have a KDF Pilot seating ship very soon... If the art work i saw as ligit it'll be a handsome ship too!
