Like the Thieves World anthologies...

Would it work if characters/ships/locations/etc. (especially etc.) could overlap between stories in Ten-Forward? Just as long you don't kill off another author's character(s) without that author's permission, that is.

You would need a motivated project editor who can heard wet cats to make something like that work and a lot of collaborative spirit from everyone involved. I've done shared world projects before and I'll say they really need a strong excited lead and a infectious spirit of cooperation as they can fall apart pretty easily.

Thanks for the feedback. I just wondered, because it seemed like each story had its own insulated, walled-in STO instance, which never had any contact with any other STO instance.

Despite having a professional staff of writers and editors sometimes the books are the same way.

I don't think it would work, and could easily unintentionally lead to hurt feelings...
