Nope, considering it is ridiculously easy to level a character these days, I don't really see the point....

Something being easy doesn't make it less dull or tedious. Playing through the story or grinding mirror events on the 7th, 8th or 9th character doesn't teach the player anything new and there isn't any new storyline to experience either. Plus it doesn't hurt or effect players who choose to level in the "regular" way.

I'm all for the idea. A store unlock option for an auto-level token, once the player has leveled a character of a certain faction to 50.

People don't need to do missions or at least most missions to get to level 50. I had one KDF level from 30 to 50 just doing duty officer assignments and a Fed level from 10 to 50 just doing duty officer assignments. Foundry missions are another good method for leveling.

    YES

But only if you already have a level 50.

I think 1701 zen would be a good price.
Hopefully I'll come back from my break; this break is fun; I play intellectual games.

    I hope STO get's better ...

Yeah, why should people bother playing the game at all... Seems like a good idea to me, to get characters straight on lvl 50! Yes please!

    Not. :P

So the people out there who have a dozen or so level 50s spread across every faction have never played the game?
I guess it just seems odd to me, that people who have dozens of characters, to want make a new one in the first place, just to buy its' level straight to lvl 50. What value such character even has? Surely must feel like an accomplishment then, when you "buy" another dozen of characters, just to... I don't know, raise the amount of characters you have? Maybe I am old fashioned, but I prefer to earn stuff in the games I play, rather than just get them effortlessly. The logic of such thing really escapes me. Maybe I am old or something... :P :D

I can think of a few reasons off the top of my head why someone would want to auto level new characters. Trying different builds (eg. all ground or all space) without blowing through respecs comes to mind. Having different setups for PvP would be another.

It's not like they're buying elite gear either. There would still need to be a time investment for Rep unlocks etc. for gear.

This is what Tribble is for aside from the official purpose of testing new content.

not needed at all......ist FAR to easy to get to lvl 50 on here....i just started up a fed aligned romulan not 3 days ago and im already at lvl30...i could have been at 50 but i like taking my time

working around the clock with mirror incursion event and 30 min cd on SoI you could reach level 50 by the end of a day if you work hard enough at it. but some missions can take a while if you are not careful enough.

take your time it can be done within a few days as others mentioned by casual speed.

as for the OP question. nope, wont accept it.

leveling up doesnt teach anyone how to play the game at level 50 .........fact

leveling up is a grind nothing more

leveling up is a solo grind and not benificial to fleets

The entire mechanic of leveling up to level 50 is a Fail in this game

Tier 1 thru 4 ships should be revamped so new players can level up with there fleet playing the games content

Fleets need scouts and destroyers as well as heavy ships The game should reflect that

letting somone pay for a level 50 toon means they miss nothing but a worthless grind
    Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
    Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

I beg to differ when it's your 7th toon to make. The story, characters e.t.c becomes very repetitive and there's no more enjoyment when you hear Bonnie Kin for the ummptee time.

Try 26 and the're all lvl 50 with no problems and still thinking on two more toons (1 more romulan, and 1 more KDF) . . . can't wait for them to create another race/faction XD

P.S. Now you are thinking I'm in a basement without a job - I work full time at a bicycle shop and have plenty to do. This game is not a grind. The most casual player can level up so quick.

    Great idea!

We could have a mission introduced, where we need to save a planet from a psychopath with moronic motivation and zero common sense, but we fail and the planet gets destroyed! And then the evil idiot gets sucked into a black hole because he's stupid and we get promoted from Cadet to Captain for reasons that no-one really understands!
    ;)

    Nero would be so proud!

    Frankly? No.

Tha6t's why i was strongly against any MT store before launch as they tend to extend over cosmetic. And i did not want any cosmetic stuff either as that is perphaps the most important part for me in games.

Sadly this is only Star Trek Online game at moment.

Are you "taking [your] time" by running Mirror Universe Incursion or Episodes?

During the summer give aways I leveled new Rom and Klingon characters from zero to level 40 in about 4 days. It's not difficult, but it's not that exciting either...
