    Why the change to the threads title? Was the original title just for shock value to get heated responses?

    Tactical is becoming the jack-of-all trades in the game and that is really sad.

    I would be confident in putting a wager out that 50% of the episodes in star trek series - not one weapon was fired.

    Because of rep passives and fleet gear that gets more and more powerful - 22 points on armor kinetic and energy + an extra bonus?? My Fleet B'rel Torp boat has been rendered virtually useless.


    There was a day not too long in the past that my hero: the I.K.S. Valkyrja, B'rel Retrofit - was feared by feds in Kerret - sadly that player and that ship have faded into STO history - who knows where he is now.

    (oops this was supposed to be an edit to the last post - about how torps SUCK now - oh well)

    Edit: Ah I found it....it's about 9 mil on the exchange. It reads: Chance for Beam Overload to cause all attacks against a target to gain 35% shield penetration. (Very Rare Version)

    You can't Nerf the double tap, it's the most important rule in fighting Zombies.:confused:

    Glad about the much-needed restoration of the power of grav well and tyken's. Mixed feelings about the changes to Graviton Pulse...though I suspect most players will find the changes a boost to is power, I will miss hitting NPC's with up to 57 seconds of graviton pulse from my evul evul sci. As for the "double tap" nerf, I think it is a classic case of a base ability getting nerfed because it has become overpowered due to power creep from doffs and rep abilities, with the devs preferring to nerf the base ability hurting everyone rather than the money-making new doffs that only benefit a smaller pool of players and builds. I am in particular frustrated that torp abilities received the same nerf as beam overload, and find the constant blacked-out tactical abilities distracting because my brain still thinks "I'm disabled" when I see them constantly flickering. Not the end of the world, but not a good solution either.
