What is the current stardate?

No I'm not quoting the 2009 movie here. Curious though...for the sake of being worried about the little things, does anyone know the current in-game stardate? Or even just a ballpark?

If a Captain was writing a Captains Log, what date would they be saying? And what have you used other than "supplemental" to get around this little detail. I know it's not really important but leave it to me to be concerned about getting the little things right.

201309... where are you from? /braces for folding axe attack

But seriously though. There are so many conflicting stardate calculators out there. I did some quick googling and just discovered this http://sto-times.blogspot.com/ which is a seriously cool visual depiction of the Path to 2409 lore. Click on the very last entry, which is the beginning of STO and it tells you that the stardates will be 86_ _ _ so fill in the last three digits yourself and bam, you got your STO-canon stardate.

I use a Stardate calculator to determine the date I want to use.

The year is 2409 and I haven't seen an exact date for when the game takes place.

The first season of TNG coincided with the Earth/Fed Standard year 2364 and the 41xxx.x stardate range. Subsequent seasons of TNG, DS9 and Voyager generally stuck to the same convention: 1 season = 1 year = 1000 stardates.

So, if you care to go by "modern" Trek canon, then 2409, being 45 years after TNG season 1, would have stardates of 86xxx.x.

I've always used this calculator since it's based off the same algorithm as the game:

in a nutshell, the Stardates in the log entries are calculated by adding 400 years to today's date.

According to http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Stardate#The_Star_Trek_Guide, the bit after the decimal point represents the time of day, as a fraction of 24 hours. xxxxx.0 is midnight (0000 hours), xxxxx.25 is 6am, xxxxx.5 is 12 noon, et cetera. I would say that was the most important part to get right, because a mistake would be quite easy to spot for anyone who happened to remember that rule.

Good luck with your writing! I enjoyed "Uprising Part 1", looking forward to Part 2.

I suppose the question is more, what are the current stardates. Start of year to end of year.
