We will be bringing down the Tribble server for maintenance to apply a new update: ST.31.20130803a.35

Ships
  • Ar'kif Tactical Warbird Retrofit
    • Hangar bay has been added to the ship!
    • New name for the ship is now Ar'kif Tactical Carrier Warbird Retrofit.
    • A free version of the Scorpion Fighters has been added to the EC store.
      • These can be purchased by Captains who had bought the Ar'kif Tactical Warbird Retrofit prior to this update.
      • These will automatically appear on the ship if it is reclaimed/purchased.
    • Ship art has been modified to add a Hangar bay.
  • Ar'kif Tactical Warbird
    • Ship art has been modified to add a Hangar bay.
      • This is only art and not a usable hangar.
  • Ar'kala Tactical Warbird
    • Ship art has been modified to add a Hangar bay.
      • This is only art and not a usable hangar.

    nice, i totally called it. i was suggesting this since it was on tribble.

    Seriously? A hangar? Wasn't this ship powerful enough? Or rather, didn't it sell as well as you expected?

    In this case I hereby request a hangar being added to the D'deridex...

    ...and 90% of FED and KDF ships as well, to make them more competitive.

    Might as well add +1 Hangar Bay to all existing ships while you're at it...

    Add a fleet version you'll get some more sales on that ship now, hell with a hangar bay even if the fleet version is 4 tac consoles i'd probably give it a try.

    We should change the name of this game to Star Romulan's Online. Seems the Feds or KDF don't exist anymore.

    It's a nice addition to this ship and makes it unique with a place among the other warbirds.

    Most likely it didn't sell so they added it.

    They would surprise me if they even did anything more for the KDF.

    The Klingon Empire and Federation already have escort carriers of their own. Giving one to the Romulan Republic is just making the three factions more equal in terms of ship selections.

    Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

    What escort carrier is this you speak of for the KDF?

    Karfi? That isn't a escort.

    Cool. How about some new ships for Fed and KDF. I can name plenty of Canon ships not even touched.

    The KDF don't have a escort style ship with a hanger, they have flight deck carriers, 3 of them, plus a retro fit, and a fleet version of one, but their cruisers, not sudo escorts.

    I bet that if the new Ar'Kif will still not sell enough then its Fleet variant will get a 5th tactical console, to make it even more OP and desirable...

    Seriously, just compare the stats of a standard Heavy Escort Carrier and the new Ar'Kif. The same tier, yet the latter gets battle cloak, lt.cmdr. universal station, 16 turn rate, singularity abilities, and two unique items with a set bonus. All of this at the cost of mere 500 HP when compared to HEC.

    I know Cryptic needs money, but this is low even for them. At least in the past they tried to balance their ships, with only the bugship being clearly more OP than others. Now though most Romulan ships are getting universal stations, 5 tactical consoles, unique set bonuses, even 5 fore weapon slots, or the ability to use dual cannons and hangars, making them more versatile than 90% of other factions' ships. It's ridiculous, especially if you consider the battle cloak and Superior Operatve traits available for Romulan boffs...

    Yet one of the most iconic Star Trek ships is still next to worthless.

    Actually there should be some ships in the game that have one nacelle to begin with.


    While it can be annoying, considering most Starfleet ships have a somewhat substantial shuttle bay, there is an argument to be made for more ships having combat pets.

    The Galaxy class has 3 shuttlebays, 37 shuttles and shuttle pods with room for more. A modern aircraft carrier has a standard wing of 72 (And also 3 hangar bays).

    Even the Defiant class shockingly has room for one shuttlecraft.

    The weird thing of course is the fact that the Odyssey doesn't have a hangar too when you consider it's the largest ship in Starfleet. The support escort makes up for that of course but there's still room for an embarked squadron or two.

    We need a new small ship with cloak and 5 front weps, 3 aft. 5 tac consoles.

    Make it fragile like andorian, hull like tvaro, no enhanced cloak.

    Good competitive ship compared to scimitar dreadnaught.

    kkthx. Thats what we want :) not another tactical oversized ship and pet spam.

    I mostly buy all tactical ships, but these are just ugly.
