Orion Marauder Flight Deck Build: critique please

This is my idea for a general purpose Marauder for my Orion engineer. I have not purchased the fleet cannons or turrets yet, but my MK XII Vr single cannons and turrets seem to be doing well with DEM 3. I would like some input before I change to this build.

    Looks good to me

    oh edit:

    I would drop the DEM2 for RSP2

    That would get you a nice shield heal and, I believe, you hit global on DEM3 so you wouldn't be able to run the second, but I could be wrong.

    So DEM has a global CD that cannot be cycled? Anyone know for sure about this? I was under the impression it behaved similar to EP to x.

    I like the build cept for the polarons id dump the pols and grab up some elachi heavy dual crescent cannons those things are amazing.

    I have my scimitar with a DPS build with those as my feature primary weapon and whatever i shoot at dont live long.

    elachi are bad unless BOing a single dbb

    ^^this they really do suck especially if you stock turrets you just hurt your dps

    I didn't know the Marauder could use DHCs. I used singles (generally a poor choice) to keep more weapons firing constantly because DEM relies on frequency of hits for the DEM to be most effective.

    Sorry for the double post. I should have multiposted, but doing this from my phone.

    I used your weapons layout and I know your build. I switched out of beam arrays because cannons have a high fire rate which works more effectively with DEM.

    Other than that I am beginning to agree with your Boff ability layout. I'd still like to know about the DEM CD question. DEM has a 45 sec CD. The question still remains does 2 copies of DEM work. If not, then the obvious choice is dropping a copy from my planned build and adding RSP.

    Right now I am chewing up ships with my single cannon/turret layout.

    Just tested it. Using A2B with 3 blue doffs and maco set (5% cool down reduction), I got to global on DEM3 before I could pop the second copy. So only 1 copy of DEM is needed.
