Official Captain Niemy thread

Haven't heard of Captain Niemy, you say?

While she isn't quite as well known in the Foundry community as Ensign Helna or the EMH Mk XII, Captain Niemy and crew have been known to accompany intrepid Foundry mission players on adventures from time to time.

Key Stats and Attributes
Race: half Vulcan and half Bajoran ("Bajulcan", if you will)
Dry sense of humor
Isn't afraid to kick TRIBBLE and take names in the name of Starfleet and its ideals
Has a first officer that is possibly cooler than yours, a giant blue Bolian that has both bulk and height sliders maxed

(in roughly chronological order):

Good Intentions - Part I (ST-HBR3KGTXD) /Part II (ST-HNGW6SNID): Aliens that may not understand how to make "normal" first contact make an appearance near a starbase along the Federation/Klingon border, and while you take the brunt of the "negotiations", Niemy plays along as well... and finds herself prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice so you can survive.

The Search for Niemy (ST-HN2V3LFZQ): Captain Niemy's Bolian first officer thinks that his former commanding officer may still be alive, but has broken a few rules to make that point. How far will you go to help him?

Flashpoint Q (ST-HNQZK3KDJ) / War and Q (ST-HUYCLBZV9): A particular member of the Q continuum wants to mess with you and your crew, and doesn't seem to mind toying with other Starfleet captains to make her point.

Clean Sweep (ST-HMHPVPQP5): You're assigned as part of Captain Niemy's task force patrolling Behrens Station during a fleet refit. Just because she has a smaller role in this mission doesn't make her heroic victory against a superior enemy force any less worthwhile!

Purity: Of the Day (ST-HEEOW83Z8): When rescuing survivors of Freighter Group Charlie, the U.S.S. Domina Justitia is luckily in the area to help transport the survivors to safety.

AND... keen eyed Klingon players might be able to spot Niemy in my Klingon tale, Hero of the Empire (ST-HHXIYXNMU). Speaking of which, first person to post a screencap of her from this mission gets a stack of commodities of their choice!

Zorbane has included Captain Niemy as a supporting character in his mission, Return to Oblivion!

Just to clarify, are you releasing an NPC costume as an asset for Foundry authors, or announcing a mission?

Also, I think that's the wrong nose piece for a Bajoran, unless you're going for some sort of gene-blurring-due-to-hybridization thing.

As for the nose thing... the regular Bajoran noses were too subtle to see from a distance. Call it poetic license.

The purpose of this thread isn't to necessarily accomplish the goals you listed though... it's a place to talk about this recurring character, as well as list out any new places she appears!

What you really need to do is screenshot the sliders and put them into an image file. It's the easiest way for others (or yourself) to recreate an NPC, since the import option was removed.

I'm happy to say that Niemy has made a return in the supplement to the Purity series, Purity: Of the Day, when interacting with Freighter Group Charlie.

Will she have a more prominent role in a to-be-released component of the mission? You'll have to wait and see!

I'd like to mention that the Purity series wouldn't have been possible if weren't for Captain Niemy and the crew of the Dominia Justica. It was them who ran into deflector array problems and required repairs at Megara III and it was them who first alerted Admiral Kardena of Admiral Fautor.

There is a costume-sharing forum on Starbase UGC where you can post Niemy if you'd like.
