Calculation of [AMP] bonus to PSP/DPS

In general whenever there's a percent bonus to weapons / damage in STO it's based on the (sic!) base damage of a plain vanilla Mk zero weapon.

I.e. a blue Mk XII Disruptor Induction Coil adds 28.125% to disruptor damage. If you use disruptor beam array (base damage 100 per shot / 80 DPS at 50 weapon power), it adds 28.125 damage per shot and 22.5 DPS to that weapon. My Scimitar i.e. has a weapon power of 124, so the base damage is 248 / 198.4 the bonus is 69.75 / 55.8. The same applies to almost all bonuses, from skill points, reputation perks, accolades and so on. All those are calculated by adding their percent bonus to that hypothetical base value. Common knowledge, little news.

But not [AMP].

It's bonus is not based on said numbers, i.e. my 30k+ DPS Scimitar shows the following values on it's beam arrays

Base, no warpcore: 961.3 DPS
[AMP], 1 subsytem > 75: 977.7 (+16.4)
[AMP], 2 subsytems > 75: 995.3 (+17.6 / +34 vs. no warpcore)

As you can see, the gain isn't even linear. And it's more in the range of 8.125% instead of 3.3% of the base value (for the first subsystem at least).

So just a simple question: How is it calculated? Any ideas?
