hi guys im new to this game and just got my main char to lvl 30 ive started looking at possible ships at 50 to spend my time trying to achieve I am not a big fan of spending real cash but I was wondering what the temporal destroyer is like, I know its the same as the fed and kilng version but I wondered what the goods and bad points of the ship is .eg the device dps output ect. I am a tactical dps player for pve and pvp (haven't got a preference yet haha) but just wanna know if the ship is a good idear or anyone other lobi crystal ships would be better, fleet ships, zen ships ect just want opinions (ps sorry for the spelling ect I is dyslecix) cheers
definately a good ship, but really expensive considering you can have equal powerfull fleet ships like the fleet patrol escort.
basically you'll pay 50 million for a console. Sure the universal boff slots distinguish the ship further and make it very universal and adaptive, but it has a very big price tag.
anyway, if you have the EC go for it. If you do not have it fleet ships are a perfect and cheap substitute.
It all depends on how much you're willing to pay for her. I was thinking about getting her as well until I decided to go for the Fleet Defiant, and come to my senses that I'd never make that kind of money.
Fleet Defiant is roughly 15-20 mil + get the fleet weapons and you're out there biting
Funny how many people recommend a Romulan get Federation only ships. First the Fleet Patrol Escort then the Fleet Defiant.
The Temporal Destroyer is a good ship and worth flying if you like it. You can do just as well with a Dhelan or Mogai ... or D'Deridex or Scimitar, lol. If you like escorts then it is competent, just not the absolute best min/max ship available.
1. Grind the tens of millions EC and look for it on exchange
Or
2. Spend somewhere around $130 on keys to open lock boxes. You will get 4 to 5 lobbi per box so that will give you enough to buy it from lobbi store now that it is on sale.
It doesn't even have a cloaking device. No bloody battle cloak or standard cloak.
If it was me, I would buy a scimitar pack for $50. 3 ship pack, science, engineer, cruiser and you get an awesome console set. Don't forget about the battlecloak and all other goodies.
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
I say it depends on many factors, like how fond are you of the Singularity abilities and the core? Do you mind the -40 power? Would you miss cloaking? What race is the character in question?
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
Thanks guys the reason I like it is just because it looks nice hahaha as far as the scimitar part of me loves it but also the real cash price and the fact it is overused what about the talshi at adapted destroyer also any suggestions and a fast ship like the destroyer with good fire power cloak evt apart from fleet ones or am I out of romulan options
I fly the Krenn Temporal Destroyer and love it. However, KDF has a very restrictive ship selection when it comes to science. I would go for the scimitar which is easier to grind out, has way more dps potential, and has carrier pets. But, if you don't like flying a big 'ol dreadnought, go for the temporal.
All romulan fleet ships are superior from what I've seen in PVP
Sing powers
- jump - equivalent to grav well3
- absorption - similar to miracle worker in many ways
- the other 3 have there uses for instance using shadows and using nimbus pirates at the same time will hide you from even the sharpest of pilots
Then there is the ultimate advantage the battle cloak lets you start and finish a battle when you want and can give you 25% boost to ALL damage for 15 after decloak ing
However if you like if for the looks buy away we come here to have fun and as far as I'm concerned I take out my enterprise every now and then cos I love the damn thing and it makes me feel like captain krik
----=====This is my opinion you don't have to listen and no one else has to read them these "OPINIONS" are based on my exploits and my learning other people will have their opinions and that's fine just don't knock my way of doing things thanks=====----
but does the singularity core ? or lack off make the difference
in my opinion, definately. singularity powers are extremely usefull. and again...no cloak.
basically you would give up all advantages romulans have over KDF and fed ships for a very large price tag.
I initiated this thread exactly to answer your kind of question. There are many escorts, some are better than others, and most top-quality ones are expensive.
It appears though that the Romulans have access to escorts and destroyers on par with the Lobi ships without having to disburse the cost. The T'Varo, the Dhelan and the Mogai retrofit (or fleet version) can all be played in the same way as the temporal destroyer. The T'Varo is probably more appropriate for a science captain, thanks to the enhanced cloaking device. The Dhelan is a DPS machine with a scientific Lt-Cmd. The Mogai can be played like a tank (ideal for an engineer captain) and arguably deals the heaviest burst damage (with a consistent DPS equivalent to the other two).
The aforementioned thread is there to help you make up your own mind. Have fun !
I have a temp destroyer on my Fed... my main is Rom and my primary ship is a Fleet Dhelan. I wouldn't fly the temporal destroyer as a Romulan because of the lack of any cloaking honestly.

Good luck to whatever you choose.

but the fact that we are in the "romulan flotilla" section is the main indicator
sry for my previous post, apparently it is a romulan character. In that case, i strongly suggest no to get it.
it has no cloak, that alone should be a "no go" for any romulan imho.
