Game crashed while I was in queue and was rewarded with leavers penalty.

Queued to STF, game crashed when the "enter STF" window popped.. After getting back into game I was awarded with leavers penalty. I wasnt even inside the STF for fraks sake! I wasnt there to push the "leave" button!

    The answer to all your problems is "don't pug". It's the root of all evil in STO. If you have connectivity issues, "don't pug" it will all be fixed. The game crash is due to pugging.

    That's not true at all. You're blaming other players for the OP's game crashing. The game has just as much a chance to crash if you were joining a private queue as you do with pugs. That sounds like elitist "I hate pugs cause they suck" kinda attitude. That's the subliminal message I get from you.

    I don't think it's a connectivity issue. If it was you'd get lag and/or disconnect and that's about it. It sounds like a major problem with the game client or possibly the server. Not much you can do about it.

    @displayname707, Don't feel bad. When season 7 launched, and again when LoR launched, there were problems with the PVE queues. After entering the map we wouldn't be on a team and there would be the 'Exit' button at the top and a message that said "You will be removed from the map in 10 seconds", and after those 10 seconds you got kicked from the event. If you entered an elite STF and had this problem you would get a leaver penalty even though it wasn't your fault.

    I get a similar problem without even logging off or disconnecting. Sometimes, maybe 1 of every 10 times I queue for PvE or PvP, the countdown timer counts down to 0 and then doesn't start. After 5 minutes of "You cannot join queues from this map" when I try and re-queue, it then assigns a leaver penalty.

    The thing is you don't get a leavers penalty if you leave a private match.

    had that happen to they need to fine tune what the server does to people when it logs back in.

    I also would suggest the revamp the whole system so there's a monitor app attached to the launcher that causes the game to relaunch without us having to type anything, relog us in, and safe log us in without us having to select it. This is 2013, other mmos have done this with their launchers.

    PUG = Pick Up Group. In other words, when you queue in an STF using the PvE panel instead of a private match.
