While browsing the forums from day to day I have come to notice that there are rarely any threads like this, if any at all. So to escape from the world of complaints, sarcasm, rants, and raves. Lets take the time to show our respect to those who have created this game we all love so much.
I'd like to say THANK YOU to both Cryptic and PWE (and the outsourced company used to create the Mac build of the game) for supplying us with the ONLY, TRUE Star Trek MMO in existence, as a kid playing around on Windows 95 and watching TNG I always thought about how cool it would be do be apart of the storyline, now with games the way they are anything you can imagine is possible. You have made Star Trek gamers very happy happy happy.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
The Romulan storyline is awesome, the new Klingon tutorial is much better than the previous version and I hope they can find the time to do the same type of revamp for the Feds.
LoR and all the Romulan stuff was awesome. Risa was well done and really cool. The giveaways were super sweet, I scored quite a bit. Now I'm really looking forward to Season 8 and the FE coming soon. I have all these cool ships, but I've been doing the same things with them for a while now. Can't wait to see what the Dyson Sphere has in store for us in that department.
Thank You very much Cryptic for my brand new Suliban Cell Ship and Jem'Hadar Attack ship.
I never in a million years expected to get them both practically at the same time.
Bought three Romulan Survivor DOff packs yesterday.
Got the Suliban in the first one I opened and the Jem'Hadar in the third.
Oh... and I have loved playing this game since its first day live.

After a long time they gave the KDF some much needed storyline substance and attention. Possibly even comng to recognize our Klingon fandom as more than a minor part of the IP.
I thank them for that.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Thanks to Cryptic and PWE, I can finally be a reasonable facsimile of the mini-skirted Romulan Commander I wanted to be as a child, and even fly a ship that looks like her D7. Still trying to find Spock so I can seduce him, though ...
Thanks to Cryptic/PWE, Star Trek Online exists/still exists.
Think about that for a second. Y'all would have nothing to complain about otherwise. Your nerdrage is fulfilled!
Seriously though, I've somehow lost hundreds of hours to this silly game, most of which have been enjoyable ones, so a firm thank you goes out from me to the folks at Cryptic/PWE. You've done a helluva lot with this thing, and often under pretty dire circumstances.

Keep up the good work, and again, Thank You
I would say that Cryptic is generally really good to its customers. Bugs are present in every game and they are trying to fix them as time goes on and while it takes them some time to find them at times it does usually get done. However, they seem to give us a lot of stuff for nothing at all these days which is pretty awesome.
As for PWE... Something nice to say about them?... Uhm... They bought out Cryptic to save the game... So... That is kind of good... Sort of like being saved by the Devil but any port in a storm right? Aside from that there is nothing even close to "nice" I would have to say about PWE.
Thanks for maintaining this game and keeping it fresh with new content. I certainly hope this means breaking the viscious cycle of 'no new content for klanks, because not enough people play klanks, because not enough content for klanks because...'
Thanks for such an active roll in maintaining profitable avenues in this F2P/subscription model. Especially the rotating lockboxes will keep the money flowing.
Thanks for having such an active development team and keeping it on a payroll in these for MMO's so turbulent times. In fact, let's extend that to all current staff. We can't really rattle names off the top of my head, but at least let me thank you for maintaining Branflakes on your payroll.
Thanks for not giving up on older MMO products, either. I look forward to what Cryptic North will be capable of.

While I would want to rant an' rave about all the bad points of Cryptic and PWE, I have to say they do a good job despite all the problems. Nothing is perfect, but some people would at least like a level of response. While some may not get it they want to, at the very least, they are considered by the company, even if on a small level. Because of the size of the company and the fact it has larger companies to compete against, Activision Blizzard and Nintendo, it does relativaly well despite everything.
The company isn't that old, only five years actually, founded in 2008 (PWE). While Cryptic is only thirteen years old.
It's opponents that everyone compares them to, like blizzard, was 1991 when many games were starting out and had many initial employees still loyal to it now. Activision was founded in 1971, so they give a lot of support to Blizzard.
So everyone, cut them some slack, they're doing their best to cater to us and that should count for something. And if you demand more than can be made and say they should work harder, you're just spoiled.

The overall game storyline is pretty good, if a little cluttered.
The Exeter- and Emissary-class designs are great.
