Shield Skins

I think we should be able to customize how shield energy appears. I like the shielding look from the star trek nemesis movie for a shield skin, I think we should start there next update.

    Ah, you mean the shields that form on the ship rather than a bubble? I did like that effect. It makes more sense, because a bubble would be a bit more difficult to manage, considering how much more diffused it is.

    There are so many buff graphics that already overlay the hull that any attempt to add "skin shields" would be absolutely pointless.
    Not to mention that nemesis style shields would be more resource hungry than your traditional bubble shields.
