Personal Apartments

I'd like to see this as a project of some kind.
-To create a personal apartment.

There are multiple possibilities already ready for such a thing.
The entrance doors are already there. ESD, Klinkplanet, the various starbases, and even in the embassies.

What I think could be a good idea for Cryptic is to make it so we captains can get some more storage boxes. I for one have collected enough special characterbound weaponry to create a great collection that really needs to be stored somewhere, not to mention various suits, kits and shields. (Yes, yes, pets too).

In a reputation system, Tier 1 could be an apartment in, lets say, ESD.
Tier 2 could be in Deep Space 9.
Tier 3 could be B]Come with suggestions[/B.
Tier 4 could be at the embassy.
Tier 5 could be in the fleet starbase.

What do you people say? Could we somehow convince Cryptic to create such a monster?

Something akin to DCOnline would suit me fine. Though I'd rather have it on ship interior first. That's where my character lives the most.

A Romulan Strike Team, Missing Farmers and an ancient base on a Klingon Border world. But what connects them? Find out in my First Foundary mission: 'The Jeroan Farmer Escapade'

This was asked for a while back, along with transporter effects. A dev replied at the time saying too much cistomisation would be customisation overkill

This would be a great thing to grind for .It would not affect pvp or ingame ballance but it would give people something to build and show off with plus a place to show all your trophies.

Along these lines, I wish they would take the "Hideout" mechanic from Champions Online and allow us to buy various Captain's Quarters or Ready Rooms.

BTW, you do have a personal apartment already - go to your ship's bridge, then take the turbo-lift to the crew deck. It's usually the room off to the side, away from everything else.

true, but, to be honest, unless you do a lot of RP, there is really NOTHING to do there. What this guy is suggesting, and I agree, is giving the bridge and ship interior a little more long term functionality instead of just a gimmick!

A very good idea that could be used to fill space that is STILL unused after 3 years...

In interviews and stuff (the most recent one I can think of is the ST Las Vegas STO Dev panel) they've said that once they can port Neverwinter's advanced foundry to STO, that they could easily allow players to fully create their own ship interior. So here's hoping to Cryptic's programming team to be able to port that.

Now, I'm the first to want to play Barbie in Space, LOL... but I can do that on my bridges. Well, some of them anyway, is the point. Loving the C-Store Odyssey bridge! (best in game). Wouldn't mind if they made some new bridges, though, that are equally gorgeous. I'd buy them all. :)

But a whole apartment?! Unless they build an entire Citadel around it, I don't see much use for it. Whereas a few neat new bridges are always 'on-topic', so to speak.

Revamp the lower decks on ESD. They could serve as guest/crew quarters.
