Well i just finished another online match and I think to myself can the people I play with everyday possibly find something positive about how we finish the the match? I mean we just finished and I did my best i assume that everyone I play with did their best too. WE got the optional objective and before i warped out someone still found something to complain about i mean apparently we were 4 people because someone was afk but I dunno i just think the match was hard even for 5 people so what is the point of blaming someone for the fact that you died? I mean sometimes games are hard so you go in all guns a blazing...Lets try to remember that this is a game. WE die we win, we get points and the games go on...
People hate AFKers, they use the effort of 4 other people to get their rewards.
What you have just described is most online games. If you don't like the fact people are going to be whiny jerks even after winning than stop playing games online.
The best solution is add the people who displease you to the ignore list and never deal with them again.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
First rule of the internet: people use it to complain and blame everyone else for their problems. The internet costs them $20-$60 a month. Therapy costs $200 an hour.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
Rule #1 of MMOs: grow a thicker skin and don't get butthurt. If you can do those two, you're set. If not, get off the internet and go back to real life. Oh wait, you need those for RL too. My bad.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
Sometimes it all depends on what tone of voice you attach to what was written, as some things don't translate very well in just text. I have a friend that I play games with and on vent he comes across as very playful and sarcastic, but when when he types it just comes across as being an TRIBBLE
Most games I'm in nobody says anything during the whole match and warp out straight away, so even if there is an angry reply at the end it can still be nice for me to know that someone cares enough about the game to communicate, even if it is unfriendly, lol.

People are going to complain about AFKers and griefers. And rightly so. Those assclowns go out of their way to make things harder on the rest.
However, your post does raise an interesting point. There are people who complain about **** that they shouldn't be complaining about (i.e. non-issues). This is a game. People come to STO to play and have fun. Some, on the other hand, take this game way too seriously.
Yeah, people will always find a reason for their deaths or failure at something a bonus objective something. I can give a good example that most engineers have witnessed at least once.
I play an Eng and in STF's I try my best to drop quick heals on people in space, sometimes I can't save people from themselves. You will once in a while find a person, not going to name careers or nothing *cough* Tactical *cough* who think "I'm epic l337 I do so much dps I'm just going to run right into this cluster of ships and not give a F*CK" These people are the worst kind of filth because they usually die then they usually find the closest engineer and blame you....
Moral of this story, don't give a f*ck and keep on keeping on.
Rahm's guide of avoiding these annoying people:
1) Find yourself a decent fleet
2) Make sure it has a lot of experienced players (that might take time, but the rewards pay back the efforts)
3) Form teams out of your fleet
4) Never fly PUG again
This works. Guaranteed. As long as you find a decent fleet, not one that forces you to have a second job.

Then I will surprise you. I have Five Tactical officers (Two Fed, One KDF, 2 Repub). I appreciate it when engineers (or other characters who have skilled the BOFFs for heals) heal me, whether in PvP matches when everyone targets me, or in STFs and Fleet Actions when I seem to have aggro'ed every enemy NPC. If I die, it is because I have used my AOE attacks too liberally and brought that down on myself. So, THANK YOU for healing me when you can.
Just to reinforce some things, no matter what character I'm on I am always grateful for a heal, but I never expect it. If possible I will give a heal to somebody who needs it, if I don't need it myself.
But if there's two people at low health and one HE2 and your the guy out of range sorry but it's going to the close guy.

its a shame the report player button does nothing.
