How about instead of working on things that aren't broke they focus on all those bugs that popped up when they launched Legacy

I can't be wasting my time going through the whole thread seeing if people agree with me or not, got better things to do. I read the first page and I agree with gholendhor that bugs take priority. Also, if you don't realise how unfriendly this is to someone who is colour blind or has other sight issues then you really need take another look.
Fine, they might be more canon or whatever, but for one it's bad for those who are visually handicapped in some way and I also find it hard to believe that in canon different energy types had the same equipment to run them with a paint job difference. Same goes for the engineering consoles. Also this is the future, technology moves on.
I can't support these, either change some so they are all easily visually identifiable or go back to the old ones that actually had some character and were visually friendly!

Please revert to the old icons, these are an eyesore.

As an experiment, i dropped my resolution from 1920x1080 to 1024x768........now i can just about see the little icons that represent the different types.
In high resolutions, the symbols are just too small to see and this problem is even worse when playing on a large TV screen (which a lot of people including myself use).
I'm not against cryptic updating the game, but when the update is more detrimental than beneficial........then its a mistake.
... This is the ONLY way that I and any other colour blind people can deal with this ...
I also am colour blind (though personally I see the world correctly, everyone else has wonky eyes. ) and am having no difficulty with the icons. The art on each one is different enough for me that I can tell at a glance what is what. Might be my screen resolution or the way I have the UI set up, don't know, but I like the new icons.
OP is 100%. Bugs like broken textures in PvE maps is not a priority but stupid unreadable icons is. <facepalm> at management

The new icons look terrible. Before it was at least possible to see on the first view what items you had in the inventory... that is not possible anymore.
