A possibly Evil Thought...

Well, with today's giveaway. I am probably not the only one who got the free ships.

I am particularly thinking on the Rhode Island-Class and it's Photonic Displacement Console...

Here is what I am thinking up.

Romulan Science Captain

Photonic Fleet + Photonic Capacitor
Photonic Displacement Console
Warp Shadow w/ Shadow Modifier Singularity Core to confuse Heavy Plasma Torpedoes and bretheren...

Would this probably be the most broken build ever for a Romulan Warbird as far as Science Captains go?

Since you can't really fire weapons with Photonic Displacement that just means you are spamming a bunch of pets to cause confusion with no damage. Seems pointless more then anything. You would be better off with mask energy signatures or scramble sensors so you don't waste the console slot.

You have free console space on your warbird to spend on gimmicks? Didn't know that was possible.

Well then...how about you two test it out or someone else does and posts a video of it in use?

I have tested it a long time ago. I even took it into a PvP match just for kick. What I found out is that anyone with sensors can see both and catch on right away so next thing you know you are still getting shot and can't fire back. In most PvE missions the npcs are usually too easy to care.

The only time I have ever found it useful is if you are doing patrol missions where you have to do 5 task other then killing the npc mob around that task like blowing up platforms and mining facilities and you don't want to waste time fighting in a low tier ship because you are trying to stack up a few missions to turn just after popping an old 1 hour skill bonus trying to speed level.
