Mobosh Can Cloak

    Every ship flown by somebody with tier 5 Romulan rep can cloak, at least temporarily.

    He was cloaked for at least 35 seconds.

    It shows a cloak symbol under his ID, and when I put my cursor on it, it said "cloak" like a normal cloak would. And you can see his shields are offline, QSM leaves shields up.

    You can see in the picture that it's the normal cloak buff icon.

    MES doesn't have a cloak effect, it just makes your ship black.

    Notice the battleship is targeted, and is 0.85 km away from the person taking the screenshot. The powertray belongs to the person taking the screen shot, not to the battelship.

    Subspace Field Modulator? Its icon could be mistaken for the cloak icon.

    No thats definitely a cloak, Mask Energy Signature or field darkens your ship, it does not make it transparent. And you can clearly see the cloak icon. Huh thats strange.

    How do you work that one out? At the top of the screen, the buff bar is showing the targetted battleship at a range of 0.85km. It also shows a normal cloak icon. It's also the only ship showing any kind of cloak VFX.

    I'm not talking about the Enhanced Battle Cloak on number 8 of the OPs hotbar.

    The picture isn't all that good, also the tac cruiser is the one showing targeted with a cloak symbol.

    I have it and i can confirm it has cloak. Regular non combat cloak, without bonus to turn.

    You mean to say that the Sovvy has suddenly developed a cloaking device despite being further away from the OP than the Monbosh? Sorry but that's a lot harder to swallow.

    It's certainly not the Galaxy that's been targeted, though that would at least make sense if it were.

    No, the reticles on both other ships are clearly visible. The Sovvy is 2.34 km away, behind the Monbosh, and the target frame doesn't match it.

    No, you can't. You can see through the Monbosh, which the Sovvy is behind. The Sovvy is clearly solid as seen on the nacelles, and has all lights visible - you can't see lights on a cloaked ship like that.

    The target frame and range indicator only matches the Monbosh, which is the only ship with a cloak effect on it, and has some type of cloak buff - the tier 5 rom rep power has a different buff icon.

    So than by the looks of things it comes with a standard cloak I am guessing, because nothing was shown in the dev notes about it having one.

    Could well be a bug. It wouldn't be the first time that a new ship was creating using an existing one for a template and inherited something from the original it wasn't meant to. Like the bug that almost every new KDF ship had for years there where they'd transwarp to ESD.

    Oh my mistake, I thought you were talking about the powertray icon. I didnt even look at the activations on the battleship.

    I also just tested the Quantum Singularity cloak, and although it gives the same visual effect on the ship, the icon that is put on my own status bar is the little green circle and not the regular cloak icon.

    Based on that it appears he was cloaking

    Wow, glad to see I am not crazy.

    But I still don't remember it being listed that it could cloak. And I don't remember Elachi AI ships having cloaks either

    It's not supposed to (is why it's not mentioned in the blog) and will be removed in an upcoming patch. Enjoy it while it lasts! :cool:

    Lobi store or exchange. They're pretty cheap already. 70m for the escort, 80m for the battleship. Cheapest I've ever seen a lockbox ship on launch-day.

    Wow you are right, just checked escort at 79mil. That's REALLY cheap for the first day, the Tal Shiar Destroyer was selling at 110mil first day
