Fleet Ha'nom Guardian Warbird is nice for a Science Bird but it does not appeal to me for the way it looks but I can overlook that for a shutdown science warbird..... this ship would lend itself well to a CC build.
Major Xi'Zzin I.R.W. Raptor's Claw Storm Eagle Class WarbirdFleet Ha'feh I have never trusted humans, and I never will
Seriously? Like we don't already have enough tactical ships...
My dream rom tac ship is a SCIENCE ship which doesn't come in a lockbox.
I don't consider the Temporal ships to be Romulan, no Singularity, no Cloak. It's just a Romulan hull rebuilt by Ferengi Tech, same goes for the Klingon and Fed versions. The Fed version you just don't notice it.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
If you could build the best dream tac ship possible, what would it be? I'm curious to see what all of you would build.
Mine would be the Daeinos Heavy Destroyer (1,000-day vet bird) with slightly better Hull, Shield 1.0 (or 1.1) and another fore weapon and more console spaces.
It's such a fun ship, quick, fast and deadly, but does lack some hull/shield strength. I'm going between the Scimitar (w/ Thalaron weapon) and the Vet bird. I like the speed and maneuverability of the Vet ship, but the Scimitar is so tank-like. Both do really nice damage, but the Vet seems to do better with multiple, fast-moving enemies; obviously the Scimitar owns on slow / boss types. The Thalaron is fun to watch, but isn't that great for the 12(?) seconds you sit there eating damage.
The other plus for the Daeinos Heavy Warbird Destroyer is the SIZE. I named my Scimitar "Space Invader" (not only does it look like one of them in top view/silhouette, but it takes up all my screen space - even zoomed back all the way, it's frickin' huge). The Daeinos is PERFECT size and looks amazing. I just wish I could customize it (have a terrible bug in the ship customizer that locks me into the defaults; it's like the KDF costume bug, but for ships!).
I love the Romulan play style (battle cloak); it lends itself well to Tactical.
Come equipped with special fighters:
-Disruptor Dual Beam Banks
-Photon Torpedo Launcher
-Disruptor Turret
-Torpedo High Yield I
-Beam Overload II
Your not describing a Fighter your describing a Frigate. If it uses fighters it will use Romulan Scorpions.
As for a Special ship you need a Hanger version of the Kestral runabout, perhaps something along the lines of a Danube/Yellowstone or the Orion Interceptors.
Perhaps trapping your foe with a engine sapping Singularity Jump, it would be a very Romulan way of doing it.
I know Singularity jumps don't effect engines but this is a CC Hanger pet, maybe the Engine Sapping is for the Advanced or Elite versions.

I have to agree. There's been enough power creep already with the Romulans. They have plenty of superb viable end-game powerful ships. The one thing Romulans don't need, is more dps.
I love the Dhelan, I think it's the most versatile and best endgame ships in the game. There isn't anything it's not suited to with a good selection of boffs on hand. STFs, NWS, Fleet Actions, Minefield, All PvE queues, PvP* - it can do everything brilliantly.
*Disclaimer: I know nothing about PvP, it might be terrible. I just have a hunch that it's not...

well yeah, it would be OP if it was a fighter.
maybe it should be like this:
-Disruptor Dual Beam Bank
-Micro Photon Torpedo Launcher
-Disruptor Turret
-Torpedo High Yield II
or maybe yeah, a runbout:
-Disruptor Beam Array
-Chroniton Torpedo Launcher
-Chroniton Mine Launcher
-Singularity Jump
or maybe a special hangar pet, something like this:
Tactical Minelayer:
-Plasma Mine Launcher
-Plasma Mine Launcher
-Dispersal Pattern Alpha I
-Dispersal Pattern Beta II
My dream Rom tac ship is my Scimitar with functioning elite drones. Currently the elites and advanced Romulan drones don't use thier skills, but once they do then I am shiny.

Fighters
Blue - 2 Weapons
Purple - 3 Weapons, 1 weapon improved.
Elite - 3 Weapons and a Special ability.
As for Mines the Orion Slavers only drop them as singles.
How about for a Romulan Kestral.
Blue - 2 x Beam Array & 1 Cloaking Tractor Mine
Purple - Beam Array, Dual Beam & 1 Cloaking Tractor Mine
Elite - Beam Array, Dual Beam, 2 Cloaking Tractor Mines & Singularity Jump

the 1000 day ship with 5 tac consoles(10 total), 5 fwd tac slots, and auxilary subsystem targeting for the plasma lotus(not too OP, but enough to disable somebody's/everybodys self and team heals for 10-15 secs)

Trouble with that is the AI isn't that bright, who knows if they would even jump when near something...or if it wouldn't jump when nothing is near by.
There are two or three ships I want for Romulans and none of them are Tac ships.
I want a Romulan Science vessel like the MME...I'm not asking for it to be a three pack and I could live without the hanger but I want a nice Science ship that has some bite.
Then I wish we had a full on Carrier...something like the Kar'fi I thought would always be nice.
The last one is something they said was coming but back tracked on...I want the Lleiset class Flagship which is comparable to the Oddy/Bort!
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
Another Sci Vessel, another Cruiser and a Unique Romulan Carrier would all be nice.
As for the pets make them only jump with in 1k of an opponent. But your right how I would like them to work is not how they will work.

My dream Romulan Tac ship are my Dreadnaught Warbird trio. It has everything I want, except for the Elite Romulan Drone. I'm currently using the Advanced version and when I get my fleet to tier 1 sci I will be able to buy the Elite once i complete the requisition project and get access to a fleet with a tier 5 sci.
Until then I am very happy with my Dreadnaught Warbirds.
Scimitar is equipped as a DPS bird.
Tulwar is equipped as a Tank.
Falchion is equipped as a heavy Torpedo bird.
It hits damn hard, it has a Battle Cloak, and as Romulan players, you get BOFFs that boost CritH% **AND** CritD **AND** minimizing Cloak cooldowns **AND** increasing out of cloak damage **AND** the length of your decloak damage bonus timer. You want more???
Then there's the Scimitar. The TAC Version has 5 TAC Consoles, 5 forward weapons, alot of optional toys. The thing hits tremendously hard but requires a different style of play to use well in PVP.
Oh, and the Fleet Dhelan is damn good also, but is severely underrated.
If you haven't seen your "Dream" TAC Romulan ship yet in today's STO, you must not be looking at all. What the hell more do you want? An [I Win Button Mk XO [Lolz]x4] everytime you cloak and decloak?
If you haven't seen your "Dream" TAC Romulan ship yet in today's STO, you must not be looking at all. What the hell more do you want? An [I Win Button Mk XO [Lolz]x4] everytime you cloak and decloak?
I want at least four [I Win Button Mk ∞ [LoLz]x4] on my dream ship... and maybe 3-4 turret versions in the back. If there are no turret versions, then at least some [PoofYerDead Mine Launcher Mk ∞ [LoLz]x4] would be nice...
Why win once with the push of a spacebar, when one can win four times with the same effort?
My Scimitar but with a few changes. Just give it a unique cannon much like the Quad Cannon but is a Plasma/Disruptor Hybrid with 13 cannons per slot. Oh and you can equip 4 of them, that way you actually have 52 cannons.
A D'Deridex with the turn rate of a shuttle, with 8 weapon slots containing elachi dual heavy nanite disruptive antiproton-charged phased-tetryon plasmic-polaron rapid fire thalaron quad cannon turrets, and rapid reload red matter cluster torpedos with two hangar bays slotted with Elite Fleet Ha'feh Assault Warbird pets deployed in wings of four (supporting a total of 2 wings for a total of 16 Elite Fleet Ha'feh Assault Warbird Pets), which also have elachi dual heavy nanite disruptive antiproton-charged phased-tetryon plasmic-polaron rapid fire thalaron quad cannon turrets and two hangar bays in each which also deploy power-draining untargettable work bees which also rapidly deploy rapid-fire red matter mines and have rapid-fire subnuke turrets that constantly strip every buff and increase the recharge rate of every enemy ship.
With 5 tactical slots filled with purple Mk XII energy damage consoles that specifically buff heavy nanite disruptive antiproton-charged phased-tetryon plasmic-polaron thalaron energy weapons. And an advanced battle phase cloak that lets me stay phased indefinately while allowing me to fire all of my weapons and launch all of my ships, and makes me permanently immune to crowd control effects.
Everything else is more or less fluff at that point.
