Perhaps indirectly... The original Space Battleship Yamato was broadcast in Japan in 1974, before the first Star Wars movie. And in Japan, the Space Battleship Yamato movie, based on the first TV series, collected more box office receipts then the Star Wars release...
So you could make the case that Space Battleship Yamato did have a influence on Star Wars. (as the Japanese cultural & design influence in Star Wars is more then obvious...) And it was the success of Star Wars that led to the production of... Star Trek the Motion Picture...
I loved watching Starblazers as a kid. IMO it's an IP that lends itself to get turned into an MMORPG. To hell with phasers and quantum torpedoes. Give me a wave motion gun any day!
