Maco Mk XII or Adapted Maco MK XII

Okay just finished and got the Mk XII Maco set finally and have noticed it is now offering Adapted Maco Mk XII set now. Is there any difference and is it worth me grinding more Omega marks for the adapted set or is it useless since I have the maco mk Xii set

Adapted is basically Klingon Honor Guard. It gives a very good health heal instead of a shield boost. The pulsewave also has the grenade. In the end it comes down to which you style you prefer to play and whether you need that shield heal or health heal more.

What ashkrik said, really. I have MACO XII on my Sci Fed. I also have a klingon tac, and what i'm going to try to do is get the honor guard armor and weapon with the adapted shield and weapon. This will give me both a shield heal (from the MACO 2 piece) AND a hull heal (from KHG) and the only main thing I'll miss out on is the Instant Remodulation.

Thanks I may just skip the adapted maco ground armour then as it doesnt sound like the extra grind will benefit me at all.

I would suggest getting at least the gun from the adapted set as it is very nice.

I run a Fed Sci and have both sets.

From what I remember Adapted has a Melee bonus and I came away, from playing with the set, thinking that it was a good set if you specialized in melee attacks or in Kirk Fu fighting. I tried Adapted but returned to my MACO gear as the shield heal was larger than the Adapted health heal and more valuable to me among other reasons.

I kept my Adapted shotgun and use it with my Battle Rifle.

Also, getting the whole Adapted Ground set unlocks a new costume variant.
