Accidentally posted this on the discussion forum first -- realized Foundry people may not read that as much as the bug section for feedback, so I'm reposting it here. Sorry --
Hallo. Tried to log into the Foundry, was told that my access was being denied. Found that weird -- found many people on Twitter were all having variously weird error messages about the Foundry and had hit or miss logins. I got a sneeking suspicion something was being changed in the Foundry --
Discovered that Romulan faction allegiance had been turned on for Foundry. Despite the inability to create a Romulan faction character, we could nonetheless make Romulan faction mission, and create Romulan faction character costumes. On top of that, many new NPC Contacts were added.
They include Hortas, Epohhs, Armored Hathams, the entire cast of Klingon Hamlet, and more Epohhs known as "Squirrels".
I think these additions are great. Any additions that give me more things to work with and allow me to tell stories I couldn't tell yesterday makes me happy.
However, I would like to request some more assets in a list, and they are as follows --
1.) NPC Contact - Obisek
2.) NPC Contact - D'Tan
3.) NPC Contact - Torreth
4.) NPC Contact - Admiral Quinn
5.) NPC Contact - Jm'pok
6.) NPC Contact - Both Worfs
7.) NPC Contact - McCoy and Scotty?
8.) NPC Contact - Shadowed Silhouette Male and Female (Allows us to make dialogues with indistinct characters)
9.) NPC Contact - Invisible Character (Allows us to make dialogues that are not inherently attached to any person or object)
9.5) NPC Contact - The Open Book that is Blue, Red, and Yellow -- Used in Cryptic missions to explain department-specific objectives.
10.) Map - New Romulus (there are several throughout the missions)
11.) Map - Romulan Flotilla
12.) Map - New Romulus Command
13.) Map - Khitomer
14.) Uniforms - All Jupiter Uniforms
15.) Uniform - Odyssey Uniform, Bortas Uniform
16.) Uniforms - MACO, Omega, Honor Guard
17.) Uniforms - Clearly all the Romulan Republic and Reman Uniforms, and Tal Shiar uniform parts please?
18.) Uniforms - the Starfleet Sierra and Antares Open Jackets
If you really wanted to blow us all away, tag the uniforms so that they're interchangeable -- being able to put a Reman in a Klingon uniform, or a Rigelian in a Romulan Republic uniform, would open up a LOT of options for stories for us.
Now, for things that need correction --
1.) NPC Contact Commander Janek is actually NOT the same model as Janek is in game. Please check this.
2.) NPC Contact Klingon Tos Lieutenant Male 03 - his face doesn't load.
3.) NPC Contact (and detail object) Prop Rumulan Crate Large 01 is typoed - "Rumulan" should be "Romulan".
3.) Romulan female has the option to have feline hands. Now, honestly, I'd kind of like all of this sort of stuff to stay and be unlocked, but I don't think anyone is going to listen to me here. *sigh*
Anyway, these are just some things I'd like.
P.S. - This is not Foundry related but Female Rigelians cannot have short and bob hairstyles or even the new "elegant" hair style. Is there any chance you can request an art person to tag these hair styles for use of female Rigelians?
Thank you, Zero and Frost! ;-)

Check out my Foundry missions
Fed: "To Helna and Back", "Rema Donna", "Animations with Helna", "Mudd's Weapons", "Waiting for Wednesday", "Monolith"
KDF: "Time the Enemy", "Time the Ally", "Time the Traitor"
Thank you. I should also note the male Rigelians can't use many hair styles either, but again, these are not problems tied specifically to the Foundry but to the entire game in general.
Tiny thing that has always bothered me -- there's a certain kind of face model/base complexion that's available for NPCs and some species that has a basic "angry" kind of look to it. They're basically the default faces of Klingons and Orion males.
I would love to be able to use this slightly agitated face for many of my Foundry character creations. In fact, I'm not certain why it's off limits for most species in the main game.
Some specific characters like Janek use this base complextion too, and many Romulan NPCs, but its not available for we Foundry authors to chose from when making our own Romulans. Just found it odd.
As you can tell, I'm sort of a stickler for character costume detail.

I'm curious to know, how you figured out that we can create Romulan faction missions?
Cause if you can't create a romulan character (after buying new slots of course), in the Foundry, how are you able to create a romulan mission?
I just tried.... And have not found any proof yet that you can create a romulan mission.....
How did you find that out ? did you find a way to create a romulan character in the foundry?
if so, please share the information on how to do so.
In the screen where you can change the mission description, you can choose which faction this mission is intended to. There you can either choose Federation, Klingon or Romulan (since only short ago).
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

Oh Really?! THIS I gotta see! Very interesting... indeed.
I think. it's time then, that I check that out! I been wanting to make a romulan episode since the romulan faction became available.
Time to get to work on the next project I think.
Thanks for the info Stoutes!
update:
Holy-Smokedy-Bones!!! Your Correct!!!! This is Freaking Awsome! I'm gonna start on this right-away! Woohoo! Thanks again for that info.
On the new Romulan Foundry stuff, there are a couple of known issues of which all of you should be made aware: it is still not possible to make a Romulan Foundry character, and a published Romulan Allegiance mission is not currently visible to Romulan characters.
We are aware of these issues. I hope they'll be fixed in the near future, but as usual I can't promise anything.

Thank you for letting us know, Crypticfrost !
I'm happy that we can at least start creating romulan missions! I'm confident that the great team of STO and Cryptic will get the Foundry sorted for all that soon. The fact is, you've got it working MUCH better than it has been working for a while, in my opinion.
The foundry has NOT crashed on me Once since two weeks ago!
So it's actually alright to work with it now-a-days.
Anyhow, I'm creating a new Romulan Episode in the Foundry at the moment, and will just have to Hope that, when the Time comes that we may test out our Romulan Foundry Projects, that I won't have too many things to fix.
I'm really Glad to see that the Foundry is getting the attention it deserves now.
Thank You and the entire STO and Cryptic team, you guys are Awsome!

I would be very hesitant to do this. We've seen time and again, functionality like this can just disappear from the Foundry if a fix is seen as too daunting. examples: import/export, dialog with object, etc. etc.
Best bet is to build it as a Fed or a KDF mission for the time being then change it when full functionality is released. This way you can playtest your maps.
And Frost, if you could pass on to Salamiinferno that it might be good to put these majoradditions in the patch notes. We'd quite like that.

I disagree with that idea, cause then you have to do Everything all over again when you start a new project as a "Romulan" project. Personally, I'm going to just continue to work in the Foundry as a Romulan project, that way, at least when we're able to create a Romulan character in the foundry, though my Project no doubt will need alot of editing, I would much rather have to edit, than redo the entire
Project again.

What i totally forgot, but would be very wanted is the ability to choose which weaponstype one's NPC (inside a mob) must use.
Casus:
You've created FED mission, placed an enemy mob (lets say terran), you change half of them with federation shipmodels and the other one with romulan models.
Result:
All models shoot phasers.
I would like to get the ability to choose which faction weapon arsenal you can give per NPC (which most probably is set in the mobtype itself).
In a programmers point of view; you "override" the variable what is saying which faction based weapon arsenal must be used. Frost, is this in any way doable?

If i am correct, you can change faction on the spot with the mission. I am at work at the moment so unfortunatly unable te test  .
This is what I was referring to. You can change the faction of a mission at any time using the drop-down menu on the main project page (the one where you type in the title and summary). Be aware of what mobs you use though, as we don't know at this point whether Federation and KDF mobs will be friendly or enemy in Romulan missions (We do now have friendly Romulan and Reman mobs though).

I ... should have but didn't.. realize that. LOL. thank you Stoutes !
If that is the case, then I will definitely do that right now.
try it out as a fed, then switch to romulan when the rom character feature is enabled.
thanks for the idea!! and info!
