This is probably a stupid noob question but I guess when it comes to the foundry, I am a noob. When I am creating a space battle, I am having the issue of the enemy ships disappearing mid-battle and never respawning. They are not set to cloak. They are set to "patrol", wander, and "red flash" as their idle animation since I was trying anything to prevent them from disappearing. Is this maybe just an editor issue that will resolve itself when it publishes? But as it stands right now based on preview mode, players will not be able to complete the mission because they defeat enemies that aren't there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, not sure if this has anything to do with it but they are re-skinned Klingon squadrons.

Yeah longstanding issue with preview mode. it goes away when you publish.
but.... there are, or were, a few glitched enemies that would disappear on their own anyways. The best guess is that they are, or were, holographic ships that got mistakenly added in place of ships that use photonic fleet.
But those aren't Klingons. IIRC that issue was with a few Cardassian and Hirogen ships. maybe only one of each.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
I'm not sure what you mean by red flash, but it's generally a good idea when running into these kind of issues, to do a test publish and see if these problems persist.
Red flash is an animation which you can let an NPC/enemy group do.
The first time i saw this happen was when i was building my ground map (Collectiveness is gold) and saw my borg enemies just... randomly disappear.
As soon as i was done with the mission, i published and tested it. The bug was gone. (It only happens in foundry preview mode and is considered "normal")

The red flash was an "idle animation" I selected to try and curtail the disappearing. It was just something I picked that didn't have them warping in or out. It's probably irrelevant actually if this is a normal bug.
What is typically a good set of settings for putting in space enemies? For example, like the behaviors, idle animations, weights and durations etc.
And I appreciate all of your responses because I was pulling my hair out last night. Haha

It's a Q-like flash animation that you can set mobs to do. Like the warp-in or decloak.

As soon as you're playing your mission when it's published, everything will be fine.
I call it, the Stoutes paradox.
