The consoles we're getting from the Lobi-store, c-store and out of lockboxes come in all different colours.
We have a uncommon one on the Breen ships, most others are rare and then there are some very rare ones like the Haakona seperation console.
I'm asking for a change in their appearance by turning all those consoles into very rares, like the one on the Haakona. Keep the stats the way they are, just upgrade their rarity, like it had be done before when Federation carrier pets got a visual update.
Or design new colour theme for universal consoles and abilities
Actually, I was recently thinking of something along these lines. Why are Reputation and C-store items given a rarity at all? Item rarity used to represent its chance of randomly dropping. C-store consoles and Reputation gear are guaranteed. Like the Sword of Kahless - or the fleet items, to an extent - they should have their own designation. It's not a big deal, really. It just makes more sense to me to have things categorized according to how they're acquired (it would also save them from having to put "very rare (purple)" in all the rep gear titles).

I agree make them GOLD!
+10 this idea
This. I want my ship equipment to be entirely fleet "blurple" or gold colored. :P
sounds even better than just making them "very rare".
