Guys - how did this stealth nerf not make it in the notes? It's such a fundamental change to them it's fishy at best, incompetent at worst to NOT have a mention of this fact in the patch notes. Advanced slavers are a dilithium item, and buyers need to be able to make informed decisions.
Please, ffs stop it with the stealth nerfs.
(Mods: this is not related to the loot table nerf, so please don't mash this with the other slaver threads - this is more about the fact it wasn't in the patch notes when it should be.)
If it is not in the patch notes have you considered that it could be a bug? Have you reported it?
I s'pose I could, but in my experience A) Bug reports tend to be ignored it would seem and Given the persistent history of stleath nerfs/changes, call me crazy for not automatically assuming "positive intent".
And this is exactly why no one knows what's intended and what's bugged. That is a serious issue. Please stop the stealth updates!
Bran, please stress that issue with your team! Again there are numerous fixes that didn't make it into patch notes. That's not acceptable. Over the long term there can only be few reasons for this:
- you (meaning Cryptic) don't want to
- you don't care
- you're not capable of doing so
All three of those reasons don't put Cryptic in a very good light. I won't ask you to take your pick but please fix it!
It is in the update notes. Its part of the pet vet ranks. At 2 stars they have normal their health and dmg that they had before, anything past 2 is upgrade over the old ones. Pets gain health/dmg the more stars they have.
Sadly the carrier stuff is a total fubar mess right now though. Cryptic couldnt code their way out of a digital paper bag.

False. At 5 stars they are still below their original HP. Hence the posting.

True. (sadly). However at times they do great work - but I feel like everything involving the slaver "adjustments" is just surreptitious and little more than a hamfisted attempt to reduce the supply of contraband by reducing their drop rate and seemingly discouraging the actual usage of slavers in-general.

Yep, majorly below even at 5 star, not that it should be below even at no stars, it should have gotten a major buff, all the fighters should in the hp department.
As I've said before the vet system is a waste for none frigates.
This is the third thing (which I know of) that this patch changed which wasn't in the patch notes.
This, the Tour cool down being added and though not a nerf they fixed the Risian Tribble which was causing the 'syrup effect' when trying to take off whilst it was active. None of it in the patch notes. I'm seriously starting to worry about how little attention is being paid to writing the patch notes.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!
nothing about the orion slavers was in the patch notes..
according to the notes.
"Orion Slavers now have a better chance to raid enemy vessels during combat. However, their rewards have been decreased in order to keep the average value of goods approximately the same as it was before."
the last part, same as before should read 1/10 of what it was before.
[12:35] Vessel Two of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 225232 (271723) Plasma Damage to you with Plasma Lance.
[12:44] Vessel One of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 1019527 (1157678) Kinetic Damage to you with Plasma Energy Bolt Explosion.
I just saw that. The thing is, they're now weaker than other pets. So much for "in line", right? Is this "working as intended"?
And yes -we should make a thread called "Stealth Nerfs/Ninja Patches". I wonder if Bran would sticky it for us?
With a new toon just accessing the Vo'Quv and using the standard hangar units available, the Slavers are indeed quite flaky in their toughness and get destroyed quickly. Even standard To'Duj fighters were lasting longer. If using Slavers, you better have very high Aux Power since you need that to drastically cut down the hangar respawn cooldowns. You can't replace Slavers fast enough since they're destroyed the moment someone points a phaser array in their direction.
So... they nerfed the looting ability and hullpoints of the Slavers. I'm not sure what kind of crack Cryptic is smoking.
What I don't understand is why mess with the drop percentages at all? Are people really reaping that many commodities that a nerf was in order?
I don't understand Cryptic's thought process on the matter. Those of us that bought the Slavers paid 60,000+ dilithium for them and they're basically making them useless now.

Silly, bugs that don't give players advantages, are working as intended.

TBH that's a good thing, I don't even know why that wasn't put in the patch notes.
Someone should start a thread in General titled: Stealth Nerf/Changes Patch Notes.

What's up with that, Cryptic?
